The Weaver Tactical 3-15x50 EMDR is far more scope than the price suggests. Having compared it to scopes costing twice as much, I would have to say that Weaver is trying to buy their way into the tactical market.The closest scope to this new Weaver is the Vortex Viper PST line of scopes. I have used the PST 6-24-50 FFP, and the glass is decidedly better on the Weaver. The EMDR reticle holds its own against the EBR-1 reticle, and would just be a matter of personal preference for the shooter. The only advantage with the Vortex is the zero-stop, which is again a personal preference item... I have not gotten lost in the turns yet.Let's just hope that Weaver follows this winner with a 5-20x50 FFP in the near future.

This scope never made it to the point of mounting. The design of the locking cap (both windage & elevation) on the turret caused misalignment of the tic marks by 1/2 tic. When lifting / unlocking the turret cap to adjust scope, the cap did not positively seat in the "up" position but had a springy/mushy seat and occasionally misaligned to the horizontal marks. Pushing the cap down to "lock" required an annoying "wiggle" to get it to seat.All other features appeared to be very good. Price point is very good. Tracking and reliability are unknown. This scope looks like it would be fine for the range but found the function of the turrets unacceptable for field use.

Good scope for hunting and works well on the AR flat tops. 1/10 milradian (.36"@ 100 yards) is a little course for target work but plenty good for hunting. Clearity and return to "0" are really good.

Absolutely AWESOME scope. This is head-and-shoulders above my Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x50 scope. Not only does it have illumination (red and green) and is First Focal Plane, but the glass is much clearer! With the Bushnell, the glass turnked milky on anything over 13x and I kept feeling like I had to rub my eyes to clear them when looking through it compared to the Weaver. This is my first FFP scope and I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I do. I also like the caps that raise up to move and push down to lock. This way you don't ever have to worry about accidentally dialing your scope moving and shooting. I also like the fact that you can re-zero your scope with no tools! The clicks are solid and repeatable. I also have an IOR Valdada 3.5-18x50 scope costing twice as much as this one. It has digital illumination, zero stop, and glass from the same place as Zeiss so it really isn't a fair comparison. However, for the price, you can't beat this Weaver scope. The market competition is the Vortex PST, but I don't have one of these to compare it to, but I would buy another one of these in a heartbeat. I just wish I had gotten it on clearance and saved $70.

Much better than the weaver 800362. On 20 MOA base will cover 1000 Meters with windage adjustments. Improved Mil-Dot reticle takes a little time to get used to but far out preforms standard Mil-dot. Really has 100 inches of El-adjustment at 100 yards as advertised. Glass is clearer and less cluttered than Model 800362. Haven't tried the Ill-reticle with an/ps2 but it works well stand-alone even in direct sunlight. Butler Creek #44 and Sungard #6 fit forward, Butler Creek # 19 aft. This is as good as any 30mm tube FFP, although the high priced 34mm scopes of S&B and Leupold are better. In the world of 15x scopes this is all you will ever need as long as someone isn't shooting back at you. Just don't have a bad thing to say about this scope at this price.

I purchased this scope to mount on my AR-10 in .260 Rem.. When I received the scope I checked it out thoroughly and was very impressed with it. Unfortunately, shortly after mounting it, the illuminated reticle wouldn't illuminate. I decided to take a chance and exchange it for the same scope again because, other than the reticle illumination going out, I was impressed with the scope. This was the first item I had ever had to return and Midway was great with the exchange. The replacement scope I received has worked perfectly so far and I'm glad I gave the Weaver another chance. The optics are clear and crisp, especially for a scope with these specs in this price range. The windage and elevation knobs are sturdy and have very positive clicks. And I like that they are lockable and can be set to zero with no tools. Also, the scope holds zero very well and the box test shows that the 1/10mil clicks are accurate and repeatable. In spite of the issue I had with the first scope I received, I still consider this one to be a winner. And if it weren't for the first unit being defective, this scope would get an easy five stars.

Bought 2 of these scopes and have not been disappointed. The glass is as clear as any of my Leupold scopes, the illumination range is excellent, the tracking so far is very good. I like the locking function on the knobs. A zero stop would make this the ultimate killer scope deal! At the retail price this is one great deal on a really exceptional scope!

I have used this scope for 4 or 5 months on my Rem 700 308 so far so good. zeros great, FFP, 1/10 is great, Tracking has been very good, dial out to 300 back to 100 out to 200 back to 100 did this for 100 rounds or so with no problems I am right back to zero. Have shot 300 rds so far. Have not had an opportunity to shoot past 300 yet Issue - The glass could be Clearer. had trouble on a hog hunt just after dusk seeing a black pig in the dark. Day light hours are very good Am going to put it on my AR-10 and see how it handles the constant recoil of the 308. For the Money - this is a very good tactical scope and would use this Weaver over a Leopold any day, but has a long way to go to replace my Schmidt and Bender

As bad as I hate to say it (it's hard), but this scope rivals all my Leupolds. I am a Leupold/Nightforce person, and always have been. From shooting BR from 1-1000yds to blasting groundhogs at whatever range, this scope's glass is phenomenal! I know there are very few glass maker's in the WORLD, and Leupold uses Jap., as does NF, I don't know what glass Weaver is using in this scope but it's clarity is amazing to say the least. Tracking is the next thing I test in a scope, and it has no trouble returning right back to zero from 1-2-3-5 back to 3-2 and 100yds. Spot on Weaver. Everything has a con, and this one is (no sun shade, price tag) We have grown to love Weaver for its price range, and I believe they could make this scope come down much more, and leave the pack in the dust! Oh yea, a nice box, lens pen, and lens covers would complete the package.

Nice glass, reticle is a good design compromise with enough illumination adjustment. I like the lock outs on the turrets and the location of the illumination control. The scope is fairly compact for its package. The tracking so far has been flawless allowing over 8 moa vertical and 6moa horizontal adjustment in one correction precisely. This scope is well worth the price.
