I got this mount for my Remington 700.Great 2 piece mounts, fit perfect. I like the 2 piece for easier loading... They do have 1 short screw for the hole above the lug.Great find.

I bought these for my 308 ...

I bought these for my 308 Win, Rem 700. They are 4140 Steel. Also they feature an extended front base (5 Picatinny Slots) if you are mounting a longer scope, essentially the same length as a one piece mount without the bridge over the ejection port. The rear Base has 3 Picatinny Slots and fits flush between the rear of the receiver and back of the ejection port. All holes aligned perfectly with the receiver. The only issue I had was the rear torx screw on the forward mount was a tad too long. It went through the receiver and was hitting the top locking lug on the bolt preventing it from closing/locking. A few minutes with a Dremel and cutting wheel filed down the two or three threads that protruded through. Badger MAX rings fit without any issues. Finish is as good on the bases as the Badger rings that are sitting on them. No obvious machine marks or burrs. Very good value in my view.

Mounted them on a Rem 700 ...

Mounted them on a Rem 700 VTR .308. Very sturdy, happy with them, had the same issue as one of the other reviewers. One screw was too long blocking the bolt from closing. A few minutes with a file and the problem was solved.
