Just finished threading ...

Just finished threading one of my 22 barrels, it did a great job. However it broke 5 teeth in the process. I have not tried the FA but it does have a little info about the what it is made of (steel) whereas the Bake does not. I was able to thread another barrel, it still did a good job, but would recommend spending the extra money and get the FA instead of the Baker.

I used this product on ...

I used this product on two barrels I wanted to mount flash suppressors to. My gunsmith started the threads by turning the barrel on his lathe and cutting the required thread. We then used the die to finish and clean up the threads. It worked as advertised and cut good sharp threads. The suppressors mounted right up without excessive play.

I have used the 1/2X28 ...

I have used the 1/2X28 tap and die both, completely, satisfied with both. I mostly use them for straightening threads, I have used both for new taps and cutting new threads, you have to be extremely careful to make sure the alignment is right or look out may be out a few thousandths. Satisfied with both.Gene
