Zero recoil absorption ...

Zero recoil absorption properties as this pad is hard rubber. It kinda sorta fits, but looks terrible. The only good thing I can say about it is that it does keep the butt from slipping on your shoulder compared to the smooth metal butt plate. I will be returning this one.

Does not include the ...

Does not include the screws necessary to install the item. The screws from the original buttplate are too big to fit through the holes in this recoil pad. Also think it needs to be another half inch to an inch longer to extend the stock enough to be comfortable.

It does add an inch to ...

It does add an inch to the lop. which is good and the only nice thing about this. It does not sit flush on my Norinco (not a real big deal). The rubber pad might as well be made out of plastic since it is just as hard. I know some want a "recoil pad" but this will not offer that.

I installed on a Chinese ...

I installed on a Chinese Norinco SKS rifle. Adds about one inch to the length of pull. It will stop the butt from sliding around when you lean the rifle against something. Fit and finish were better that expected. I had purchased one of these for my paratrooper SKS a few years back and the quality was not as good as this one. It really make these stubby stocked rifles easier to shoot by us big boys.

I bought this for my ...

I bought this for my Chinese SKS with the Jungle Stock. It was not a perfect fit, but is good enough to be functional. The biggest problem that I encountered was that it did not come with longer mounting screws. The original screws were not long enough so I went out and bought a pair of 5/8" #5 (metric) screws and they worked just fine. The curvature isn't a perfect match, but once I tightened down the screws it was pretty close. Plus, I'm going to install a blackhawk cheek pad to raise my eye level to the red dot scope I installed. The back strap will actually fit nicely between the small gap between the original butt plate and the new butt pad. Another lost star is for the rigidity. It is so stiff, that it will not provide any reduction in the recoil. I guess a very rigid butt plate is good if you ever have to use that end to subdue a zombie without killing it.

Does not fit my Chinese ...

Does not fit my Chinese SKS stock. The recoil pad does not have the same curve as the stock and is narrower than the original butt plate.
