The quick detach feature allows you to easily remove your optic from one rifle to the other, and the 1" ring inserts allow you to switch optics without changing your mount. I put this on my AR varmint rig. After getting the scope zeroed and shooting a 3/4" group at 100 yards, I flipped the quick-release lever and took the mount off the gun. Put it back on in the same t-slot, shot another 3/4" group with no shift in zero. I was skeptical at first given the price, but was very satisfied with the way this mount is built and how well it works.

Mounted on a .308 and it only held up to about a thousand rounds. But before a hunt this weekend, while checking my zero and generally practicing, the pin that holds the mount to the rail broke and went missing.This lets the scope slide back and forth under recoil, and as a result poi is random and I wasted a bunch of ammo trying to figure it out.

dont waste your money had on my 50 beowulf upper smoked the mount in 20 rounds and is not removable, had to make so tight couldnt remove it! ordering the ar stoner one pc mount today didnt wanna even give it one star

Absolut Junk! Held scope just fine but would not lock onto flat top pic rail. The only way to get it to hold tight to the upper was to adjust it so tight it was no longer able to release by the lever. Returning today, should've known better, never kept a NcStar product yet.

Bought this for a flat-top DPMS AR-15. The first time I clamped it on the rifle, the set screw that adjusts the tension of the picatinny clamp stripped out immediately (it seems to have been made of very soft metal). Fortunately the screw is a standard #10-32 thread, and it was easy to find a stronger replacement at the local hardware store.Aside from that one screw, the rest of the unit seems solidly built and works great.

Mounted on an AR-15 rail. The ring/base is way off center. Ran out of windage adj. on two different scopes and it was still way off (left or right depending on which direction you place the mount on the rifle). Looked good on the web page but this mount is just a paper weight as the rings are not centered.

It is great for the price. All you have to do is tighten down on the screw on the side of the mount, then tighten the locking nut. I'll give it 5 plus stars for the very low price, quick detatch, and it stays put, if you tighten the locking thing on the side of it. I have it on an AR15, with the Simmons whitetail classic scope. Very accurate at long distances. Also, if you have a flip up rear sight on an AR15, it just fits over it when flipped down, and the front fixed sight is not in the way, with this mount/scope combo. Very satisfied with it.

Required some adjusting ...

Required some adjusting on arrival to clamp tightly on a Picatinny rail. This was easily done with the set screw. Have not shot at the range yet, but I also have a laser sight and taking off and putting back on, the laser sight is very close to alignment of where it was when I took it off, will only know for sure once I get to the range. I bought a second one that had the same issue with adjusting. The allen wrench that came with one was useless, the other one was fine. Cheaply made, but functional so far.

Did not like this product at all. The fit and finish are nice but it will not hold tight and zero will move around on you. The latch will not tighten down in order to securely hold scope mount to base. When shooting my rifle at 100 yards my point of impact was sometimes 9 inches off or more because the scope mount kept wiggling loose.
