Ruger's Gunsite Scout Magazines are constructed of a glass-reinforced nylon polymer, making them highly durable and resistant to the elements, corrosion and most solvents. The magazines are easy to disassemble for cleaning, are function- and drop-tested at extreme temperatures, and come with a snap-on dust cover for long term storage while fully loaded. Available in 3, 5, and 10-Round capacities.

Note: This magazine may not function with aftermarket trigger guards that are designed to accept AICS magazines.

Great magazine

Much lighter & more compact than the factory magazine. Never had a problem loading or shooting with them. I've put about 700 rounds through 2 of these over the past few months & they've worked flawlessly.

The magazine feeds perfectly and enhances the handling of the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle by replacing the magazine you carry in the rifle with one that protrudes less, and weighs less and even looks more attractive. Great product and I highly reccomend anyone who uses a RGSR to get at least one poly mag.

Way better than the metal mags!

I was lucky enough the get to Beta test these mags before they were released.

I had some minor problems with the 10 round version not keeping the on deck round in it correct location, however this has been corrected on all of the production mags out there. 3 and 5 rounders functioned perfectly from the get go, and have continued to for nearly two years of once a month tactical matches.nearly 2000 rounds thru 1 10 rnd and 2 5 rnd mags.

A different spring was the fix and Ruger will supply the new spring for free if you call them.

These mags feed so much smoother than the AI metal mags the gun comes with it is rediculous!!!

You don't have to operate the bolt with authority in order to feed rounds. Just a smooth motion gets it done. These polymer mags are also much easier to load than the metal ones.

The added benefit of a 3 round version for hunting is a added bonus. I mostly use the 5 round version for matches unless the stage requires more than 10 rounds in which case I get the 10 round mag involved. I like the way the gun feels best with the 5 round mag inplace, the 10 rounder sticks out the bottom a little far for my hold on the weapon.

These polymer mags are an excellent addition to the Gunsite Scout platform and you should buy many of them.

I have retired my metal mags which I paid $70 each for and replaced them with these mags for half the price.

I've only cycled this magazine about 5 times, so things may change, but as of now it has operated flawlessly with Federal Gold Medal Match 168g SMKs. No issues with follower tilt or having the bolt run over the rim of the round and not catch. It does require a bit more effort to seat on a closed bolt with a full magazine, but a little slap and it snaps right in. No issues with retention, mag has sat in there just as it should, doing what it's supposed to do. Will be looking to buy more in the future.

This magazine has one advantage over the AI mags in that it can be topped off without having to remove it from the gun.
