The MidwayUSA Buttstock Ammunition Carrier covers adjust to fit most guns. Accomodations have been made to make tailoring the fit to your specific rifle as easy as possible. The bottom seam is stitched and wrapped to prevent unraveling when cut to allow access to the sling swivel stud. The elastic loops will keep nine rounds secure and within easy reach. The MidwayUSA Buttstock Ammunition Carrier proudly displays the MidwayUSA logo. Ammunition is not included.

put a brand new one on my rem mod.700 .270 and they fell out just walking from the truck to the deer stand..ammo is to expensive to just lose it like that..

Not elastic enough to fit ...

Not elastic enough to fit over any but small stocks. Also the bullet holder grow weak in time and do not hold the cartridges well. Cheap. Oh that's right. It was cheap.

Good ammo carrier. When I ...

Good ammo carrier. When I put these on my rifles I lay it on the side of the stock to see where I want it. Then look at where the sling swivel stud is and put a small hole in the same spot at the bottom of the ammo carrier. Hit the hole quick with a lighter to keep the material from fraying. slip it on the rifle and hook up the sling and the ammo stays where I want it, not up by your grip area. I will also put my ammo in it to carry in my coat pocket to keep them from rattling together.

Excellent product for the price. Only complaint is the tendency for the elastic to slide up the stock after 2 magazines of recoil of 30-06. I solved this by cutting a small hole in the elastic to fit around the sling lug to keep the elastic in place.

For the price you can't go wrong! I bought one for my daughters Winchester Model 70 and my Remington 700 with a Boyds thumb hole stock and they are great! Buy it you wont be sorry. As for them slipping up the stock, just put it on and cut out where the sling stud is and they don't budge.

I bought this for my Iver Johnson 410 single shot and it works great. Fits snug and the 410 shells fit like a dream. To prevent it from sliding up the stock I unscrewed the buttplate and over lapped a little of the fabric under the buttplate when I put it back on. Seems to be working. I just got it so I don't know much about the durability. I like it so far for the price.

Excellent! Good fit on ...

Excellent! Good fit on Marlin .30-30. Have tried it on 410 Shotgun and it works well there too. (Yes, the 410 shells fit in the elastic loops.) I will be ordering another for the 410. Will consider it for any additional rifles I acquire. I do not keep it on the gun, but store it in one of the pockets of my Tactical Rifle Case along with the firearm, so as to prolong the elasticity of the material. I can only give it four as opposed to five stars because of its inherent tendency to slide up the butt stock over time. It does hold, but as the day goes on, it does slide forward. Possibly a strip of no slip material inside the sock pressing against the side of the stock or a 3/4" strap across the butt and adjustable with a small piece of Velcro will remedy that problem. I plan to try to add that to mine to see if the idea is successful. I will be purchasing again, and recommend it to others as long as they understand the tendency to slip over time.

I got one of these the other day and it fits great on my Remington 700. The cartridges are held tight did not move and I shook my gun around. You absolutley can't beat this thing for the price.
