Custom-grade ammunition from the factory. Built to the tightest tolerances for peak performance rivaling and sometimes surpassing handloads in many guns. XTP Bullets feature a performance-improved point that has 6 precise folds to divide the bullet into symmetrical sections and initiate controlled expansion at low velocities while not fragmenting at higher velocities. They expand reliably at a wide range of velocities for a deep, terminal penetration with every shot. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases.

Shot this through an Encore 20" 460 Mag

This was shot through my 20" Encore 460 Mag barrel that was zeroed at 100 yards with Barnes 275 gr XPB and Harnady 300 gr XTP Mags. My son doesn't like the recoil from the 460 so we decided to try these 454 Casull XTP rounds as an alternative. Because we were on a time crunch (opening day of deer gun season), we didn't have time to take these to the range to check the zero. Much to my delight, my son dropped his first deer with the very first shot. Deer was 75 yards out and he aimed dead center. The projectile landed exactly where he aimed and did a tremendous amount of damage to the deer. Entered the top of the right lung, turned up and ripped completely through the spine and exited the other side. I was so impressed with this that I may even try a few myself instead of the 460!

LOVE this stuff! Recoil is a bit stiff, but not as heavy as factory Win. 260 gr. JFPs or Win. 300 JFPs. Hits gallon milk jugs filled with water with serious authority, usually rips them clean in half, with the full gallon turning instantly to mist and the top part rocketing toward Canada. Clean burning and empties fall from my Freedom m83 chambers upon turning the barrel skyward.

Great round and great ...

Great round and great price. I've tried several more expensive rounds but this is by far my favorite. Better accuracy and packs a huge punch. I think it's easier on the hand than 300gr and larger bullets and with the extra speed it shoots flatter too.

This is the load I use when people ask to try the .454 for the first time, I get a lot of happy vulgar comments afterwards. Hot but accurate, not for a recoil-shy person. I've shot more of this than anything through my Super Redhawk, only occasional brass sticking in the gun that comes out with a few raps of a cleaning rod on the bench.

Shot this in my Raging Bull today. Very accurate, best store bought round I've used. Almost as accurate as my handloads and these are loaded hot! Sticking in chambers a little, but that's a trait of this Taurus 454. Most shells stick a little... If I needed to buy a round for hunting instead of handloading, I would buy these first... 4 shot group 25yds. 1 1/2 x 1 1/4" outside to outside of holes... My handloads shoot under just 1", so these are good factory rounds...

I also shoot a Taurus, and this load works really well - very little barrel mess, easy removal of spent brass, and tight groupings. I carry this hunting, though I'm still not 100% sure I'd settle on this over a 300-grain load. This round does produce a little "sting" in the palm, that's for sure - but with this gun, any round will do that.

hard hiting stuff very potent against anything in the eastern kentucky woods but be warned will kick your brains out ....hope you have a tight grip while shooting these rounds

I use this ammo in my S&W 460 XVR for groundhogs. This stuff shoots awesome! I can't say enough good things about this bullet. I have had a few stubborn cases in the cylinder but that's normal when shooting the 454 or 45 LC. I have no complaints about the recoil but the weight of the 8-3/8" barrel and the compensator soak up all but the most extreme loads.

I shoot this through a Taurus Raging Bull with a Weaver 2X scope. At a hundred yards from bags, I get three inch groups, which is just incredible for my money. It's a hot load, going 2000 fps with 2000 foot pounds of energy.
