This replacement part is a factory original from Ruger. Factory replacement parts are manufactured to the exact same specifications and tolerances and use the same manufacturing materials as the original parts which guarantees excellent fit and reliable operation.

This magazine features a rugged polymer body and magazine follower. The metal feed lips will stand up to thousands of rounds without any signs of wear or jams. The Ruger rotary magazine is superior to conventional feeding systems because each cartridge lies in its own channel in the magazine. This arrangement prevents jamming by eliminating the overlap between cartridge rims found with stack-type magazines. Keeping a few extra factory magazines around is never a bad idea; extra magazines save loading time at the range and also serve as a backup for those days when you simply cannot remember where you put your primary magazine.

These magazines work great as far as the feeding flawless, the only thing I am not happy about is that both mags did not eject, so I had to file the sides down to work right, I think Ruger needs to have a better Q.C. because I am not the only one to have this problem.

Fits a little tight but not a problem. The ability to see the rounds in the mag is great. I bought 2 and as soon as my butler creek mags break or wear out I will buy more.

Just got five of these magazines and four work flawlessly, while one appears either to have a slightly weaker spring, or there is something catching the rotary mechanism. This magazine would fail to feed on several occasions, where after one round is chambered and fired, the magazine would not fully rotate and the next round would not chamber. After *lightly* banging it on the bench, it would snap back and work normally again. I am not sure whether this is a QC issue and whether it will get better with time (looks like the problem is going away), but the ones that work really work well and are great to use because they not only show how many rounds are in the magazine, but also show the pretty interesting inner working of the rotary magazine. For the price, order a bunch and if there is a fluke you can always get rid of it.

Great mag, nothing like factory mags and with nice clear design it makes it really easy to see if there are rounds left. The only drawback I guess would be that after a while you can clearly see how dirty it gets, but no biggy just open and clean it out in a matter of minutes.

I bought 4 and I'm very happy with them. Being clear, I can see how many rounds are loaded. They load easier than the one that came with the Gun. They insert and eject from the Gun with no hang-ups.You can't go wrong with these magazines. They are made by Ruger.

I bought 3 of these to try out in my wife's new Ruger. Much harder to load the shells into than the one for my older model. Maybe they will "wear in" the more they are used. The "fit" of the clip varies. Clip 1 drops right out when released. Clip 2 needs a nudge. Clip 3 takes a firm tug to pull out. The rifles are equipped with Hogue stocks which tend to hold the mag tighter. However I would buy again for the feed reliability. The ability to see number of rounds left is a plus.

Do not buy these if you ...

Do not buy these if you plan on using them in a Magnum Research rifle, stick to the black magazines. The mag-well on the MLR-1722 is cut too tight for the clear mags. Had the caliper all over these things and could not find the reason for them not to work. I think its just the material they're made of. Gave them to a friend with a Ruger 10/22 and they work, go figure.

I really love these clear mags. I go to Appleseed shoots and these are perfect for setting up mags for course of fire. They work smoothly in my 10/22 and I do not have any problems with them not ejecting properly. WTG Ruger!
