Custom Prefit Pads are easily installed after removal of existing stock pad. These recoil pads offer innovative recoil reduction technology that absorbs recoil and vibration through a unique three step process using a proprietary material NAVCOM. The superior Limbsaver recoil reduction system allows greater access to the shooting sports. May require minor fitting on some models. Mounting screws not included. Easy to install...just follow the instructions. I installed one on my Ruger 1 in 7mm RM, the fit was great and the felt recoil is now much like shooting a 234 or smaller caliber rifle. Will by one for my Beretta shotgun which has a Gel Tec on it now.

Installed this on my Ruger M77 .280 Rem and it made a tremendous difference in felt recoil. The rifle went from painful to pleasant instantly. However, it did not fit correctly. I had to drill new holes in my stock to make it fit. Not a big deal but keeps me from giving it 5 stars. I still will be ordering a couple more for my other two Rugers. I put one of these of the correct model number on my Model 700 and it fit perfectly.

Pro'sSuperior recoil reduction! Compared to the red rubber pad and other recoil pads. I used to only shoot my M77 30-06 a few times from the bench before I was DONE. I can sit down and shoot twenty HOT handloads with no problem. It did mount up flush with my walnut stock edges. Con'sThe red rubber recoil pad that comes on the rifle doesnt hang on clothing as much as the limbsaver, it is sticky. Installation was tricky. The mounting holes did line up fine but the holes in the rubber part where one can insert a screwdriver are way off. But once I noticed this I had it installed in less than thirty minutes. What I think:Great recoil pad!, needs a little skill to install.

Ruger factory recoil pads are harder than woodpecker lips and they get harder with age. The Limbsaver pads are nice and soft. They really take the bite out of a 300 mag.

I put this on a new style synthetic 77 MK2 that is chambered in 300 Win Mag and I can't believe the difference in recoil!! It turned the rifle into a pussycat to shoot off the bench. It was also a perfect fit!

Easy to install and tames recoil quite well. I originally bought one for my 870 and liked it so well I immediately ordered another for my Red Label. Trouble is, after only about a year the rubber began to deteriorate. They both became so sticky that they would nearly pull the carpet from the floor of my gun cabinet when I reached in to retrieve my shotgun. I have since replaced the pad on my Ruger with a Kick Eez and put the factory pad back on my 870. They do a good job but the durability just isn't there.

I have 4 of these pads and only 1 fit correctly. 2 required minor screw hole adjustments and the last required redrilling holes in my stock. Excellent at absorbing recoil!

P.S. The Limbsaver adds 1/2 inch to the length of pull, fine for me, maybe not so good for shooters with shorter arms.
