The Vortex Viper Rifle Scope comes with features that are typically only included on scopes in a much higher price range. The optics are fully multi-coated and deliver beautiful detail and color while transmitting 95% of available light. Audible clicks allow for precise adjustments to windage and elevation and the tube is purged with Argon gas which eliminates internal fogging and extends the life of the optics. This is a wonderful scope for hunting. Protective lens covers and a lifetime factory warranty are included.

I would easily say that this scope would compare with my Leupold MK IV scope. The clarity is amazing. The scope isn't too heavy, but when you pick it up, you can feel that it's durable. One feature that I really like is the ability to set your scope back to zero with no set screws. You simply dial it in, then lift the turret up (it's spring loaded) and set it to zero. It's that easy. If it's on 6.5 zoom, or 20 zoom, it's crystal clear, never fuzzy or distorted. Would I buy one again? I plan on selling my Leupold to get another one. You can't beat the warranty, and they feel built to last. I plan on buying many more in the future (switching out what I have for these).

This scope for the money can't be beat! I bought the first one as a stop gap (PST on backorder) However it worked so well I bought another one. It tracks flawlessly and it takes the pounding from a 3oo win mag with a break. Another brand went out to lunch from the muzzle blast but this scope take a licking and keeps on ticking!!!! Shot out to a 1000 yds with it as well ( have a 20 MOA mount ). The other is on an SPS tactical and it's great.

I bought this for a Colt MT6700 flattop It is an awesome scope. The scope is very clear even at 20x. I had never had such an easy time getting a scope on target either. The adjustments are very predictable. The clicks are well defined and the resettable turrets are a nice feature. The only downside is that the Vortex website listed the diameter of the eye piece as 1.50" when it is 1.70". So buy the Butler Creek eye #18 and objective #31 if you are going with flip open lens caps. This was by no means a deal breaker.

The first thing that I have to say is wow!! This scope is fantastic. The clarity is outstanding. Personally I can't see a difference between this scope and a Leupold Mark IV and a Nightforce NXS which one of my buddies has on a Barrett M82. The appearance of the Viper is outstanding, I also like how the Side Focus knob and the power ring has just the right amount of resistence to them, not too loose and not too tight. You will be very happy to own this scope, I know I am.

Very good scope for the money. Box test ran perfect, Very repeatable. Mounted to a 700P with badger 20moa base to get me to 1000y in a .308. Best of all Vortex Optics has the best customer service on he planet! They care about their customers and what they think. Vortex is going to be a big player in the optics world.

I'm impressed. Good workmanship, accurate windage and elevation adjustment, does a box test on a target better than Swarovski AV or Ziess Conquest for a third of the price, and the glass is just as good in low light conditions. Not Nightforce or US Optics quality, but better than most scopes that cost two or three times as much. I'll be buying more of these.

Great scope for the money! Tracks well and holds zero. Audible clicks and very clear! Only thing is that you can't reset the turrents to bottom zero, but it's not that big of a deal as long as you know from bottom how many clicks to your zero!!

Very clear, very good reticle for precision work as well as holdovers. Very well made and attractively finished. The adjustment knobs make it very easy to index your zero point for quick return, and the knobs are marked with moa increments clearly visible for rapid adjustment without having to precisely count clicks. Want two inches left at 100 yards? Dial two inches left and not even have to think about how many clicks it is. Need to go back to your original zero after fiddling around with test loads all afternoon? Just dial back to your preset zero.
