Glock knife isn't 5 stars

Received the Glock knife today. The blade is razor sharp and well made with a beautiful black finish. Unfortunately the weak link in this design is the lack of a full tang and the hollow plastic handle made out of Glock polymer. At extremes the blade will flex in the hollow plastic handle. There is aproximately a 32nd of an inch gap between the guard and the handle which leaves only a small area of the tang to connect the molded handle to the blade. My blade is off center by about 2 degrees in the handle. Being a Glock fan the crooked blade was a let down. The plastic handle is too smooth to provide a good grip in wet hands which is very likely at some point. The root saw is designed to be used in mud and dirt. It would be very fatiguing to use this with such a small guard and smooth grip with wet hands. If your looking for the ultimate survival knife with a full tang this knife isn't it. This knife follows the European philosphy about products-efficient, compact and well made but NOT US GI proof. There are many more durable designs out there that have full tangs, solid end caps for pounding, etc. It all depends on what you intend to use the knife for. If your a Glock person this knife is a must have. I think the sale price is a fair price for the knife. This is NOT something you let children play with.

Good knife for the money

I already own the Glock 78 and got my Glock 81 today. The saw teeth are sharp and will cut almost anything. However, mine was not too sharp where it counted the most. However, I was able to put a very sharp edge on it. These are tough knives and for the money they cannot be beat.
