This manual did not cover ...

This manual did not cover the product that I bought from Meister Bullets. Meister Bullets would not or could not offer any technical help for a safe load. The book was purchased directly from Meister and the bullets were purchased from Midway USA.

While clearly marked as a small, 36 page, pamplet of reloading data, I was disappointed. The load data does not include pressure data for any of the loads. The manual does not indicate whether or not the 45-70 data given is safe for Springfield Trapdoors, or only more modern, stronger, actions (a comparison of the data in the Meister manual with that in the Lee Modern Reloading book indicates that the load data may not be appropriate with Trapdoor or Rollingblock actions). The reduced velocity/recoil loads are not clearly marked, but are included.The manual does provide some powder & bullet combinations that are not in my other manuals, so the book may have some value.Each cartridge includes a little historical blurb that appears to have been taken from Cartridges of the World.An important note is that my copy of manual came with a corrected set of data for the 32-20 revolver data (Page 16) glued in. If you decide to order this manual, make sure your copy has the corrected page included.For the same amount of money, you can get Richard Lee's Modern Reloading, 2nd Ed., which has almost 500 pages of load data.
