This is one of the best ...

This is one of the best bullets on the market. It hits harder and penetrates deeper than a lighter bullet. A higher ballistics coefficient improves this bullet's accuracy. My Thompson Omega 50 caliber will shoot a 1/2" groups at 100 yards with 100 grains of ffg triple 7 and cleaning between shots. The sabot fits tight to prevent gas leaks when fired. This is the best bullet for your money.

After testing many ...

After testing many different bullet/powder charge combinations, I settled on a load that should be very impressive on deer size game. Maximum powder charges often are not very accurate loads but I worked up a load in my CVA Optima Pro (.50 Cal.) using the Hornady 300gr (.45 Cal) SST Sabot. To my surprise it was very reasonably accurate 1 group at 100 yards, 3 7/8 group at 200. With this being a magnum charge it shoots reasonable flat as well! Total of 7 drop between 100 and 200 yards. I havent taken game with this load combination yet (just bought the gun a few weeks ago) but Im gearing up/preparing for a Antelope hunt in early September 06! I suspect that this load combination will be devastating on small/medium animals such as Antelope or Deer.

I used these deer hunting ...

I used these deer hunting for the first time this year in a CVA Buckhorn Magnum at the range. They were putting in a tight clover leaf at 50 yards off-hand. Shot 2 deer and the results were devastating with good entry and exit, leaving a blood trail a blind man could follow. Not that a blood trail is required, one deer went 50-60 yards and the other went approximately 15-20 yards. These are easy to load, give excellent groups and put a world of hurt on a deer. I will definitely be using these in the future in my in-line. When on a good thing, stick to it.

Very explosive on impact. ...

Very explosive on impact. Tremendous wound channel. They group really nice, even with a 150 gr. powder charge. However, the 150 gr. charge may be too much for the bullet. I hit a doe at about 50 yds (frontal shot) using a 150 gr. charge, shooting my T/C Black Diamond. Again, a tremendous wound channel was made. There was no exit wound. I found the "empty" copper jacket from the bullet in the chest cavity. I will continue to use this product since it has, by far, out performed any other bullet I've used. (Although I think I'll back off on the powder charge).

This bullet has performed ...

This bullet has performed very well in my Winchester x-150 using 150 grains Pyrodex pellets. 2-inch groups at 100 yards. I have killed three whitetails with it. I think the jackets have a tendency to shed but still penetrates deep. It passed completely through even neck to hip once. It drops deer quicker than my 12 gauge with Partition gold slugs.

I used these in my CVA ...

I used these in my CVA Kodiak to take several deer. I even got 2 with one shot. The bullet held up to that, it went through a 140 pound doe and into the yearling doe behind it. Both went less the 50 yards. Did not think my season was going to be done so soon. I had tags to cover both. Look forward to trying them in my new Triumph.
