The Vortex StrikeFire Red Dot Sight is perfect for the shooter looking for a sighting system that allows for lightning fast target acquisition. With this sight the user gets an unlimited field of view, unlimited eye relief and they can shoot with both eyes open because of the 1x magnification. The dot can be illuminated in either red or green and allows you to switch back and forth between the colors as you please. With the extra-high weaver-style ring, you get the added bonus of co-witness with iron sights. The intensity of the dot is also adjustable for different lighting situations. Includes flip-up lens caps and a 2x doubler. Covered by the Vortex Limited Lifetime Warranty.

I'm quite impressed with this red dot sight. It adjusted consistantly. The dot quality is very good (not perfect) but more than adequate. I mounted it on my Mossy 500 HD shotgun. I've put over 60 rounds of hard kicking buckshot and slugs through the gun and the zero has not been affected. This is a great addition to my home defense shotgun.

So far this seems to be a good quality sight. The reticle is a bit fuzzy at first but I took some advice from some other sources and kept the sight on for about 2 hours and the red dot cleared up pretty good. It didn't take long to sight it in and is very rugged. I agree that the placement of the power button could have been better. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

This sight is awesome. But don't forget, you're spending $150 for a sight. No, the dot is not a perfect circle, especially when it's on full brightness. If you want a perfect dot, triple your price range. Yes, the red dot is hard to see during the day. That's why they invented the green dot. The construction is solid. It can handle the recoil of a carbine, I've never put it on anything more powerful, but judging by how's it handled, I wouldn't be scared to throw it on a 308. And I own 3 of these. 2 with a low mount, 1 with a high mount. I'd recommend these to anyone looking.

I'm very impressed with the StrikeFire dot sight. It appears to be very durable as does it's enclosed doubler. I tested it in the desert and it's bright enough to easily see, especially in the green dot mode. The heavy duty low ring cowitnessed perfectly (lower third) with my RRA "Tactical Carry Handle", but you'll need a low cantilever type mount if you want to use the doubler, on that pertectular handle. It also held zero after a long day of riding, hiking and plinking. This is a very good dot sight that keeps up with other much more expensive, yet simular products. I highly recommend it.

Very nice. Mounted it on my Winchester 1300 with rifled barrel. Very easy to install & sight in. I like being to use it with both eyes open. I like the fact that it came with a doubler & caps. Green dot will be helpful in some conditions. It held zero shot after shot & that says alot for the optics. Wish I had bought one years ago.

Very nice accurate little sight! Only issue I have is to use the doubler you have to take the lens protector off.I was able to shoot a dime size 25 yard 5 shot group with it on my 10\22

Seems to ruggedly constructed but unfortunately the dot is anything but round once the dot intensisty is turned up from the lowest setting. The red/green feature is nice, however. I'm going to leave it powered up for a few days and see if it cleans up any, as I've done with some cheaper brand units.

Just received the sight ...

Just received the sight and I'm very pleased. The sight mounts well and holds zero on AR15, which tells me it will hold on to numerous other firearms, maybe with the exception of big bore african rifles. I like the eotech way of adjusting the brightness level, and the NV setting at night or low light is great for precision shooting as I estimate the dot at 2 or 3 moa. NV is not visible in daylight. The one I recieved came with a 2x magnifier lens which is a nice feature although I don't know if I'll use it. The only real problem is the power on/off is a raised button on the left side that's very easy to bump when the gun is laid down or brushing against the chest. Although it shouldn't give too many problems if you're in the habit of turning off your sights. I don't know how long the battery lasts, but aside from that I rate it as comparable to an Aimpoint ML2 and better overall for cost.

Well, I have to tell you, I was not sure how this sight would hold up to heavier calibers, but I have to admit that this sight proved all of my doubts wrong. I tried this on every gun I own, to list a few 300 wsm, 338 win 45-70 Gov't 300 wby 375 ruger 416 ruger and 458 Lott. I can't believe that this red dot stood up to that kind of recoil but it did. I have to say that for a new comer vortex is a very high quality product for a low price. I have a Vortex DiamondBack scope as well that is equally as good. I have owned several Leupolds that don't have as clear a view as the Vortex as well as keeping zero when it counts. Vortex is my new optic of choice. Would recommend Vortex to anyone, and I have used these where I live in Alaska where the weather and the game is tough. Hope this helps.
