The Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension 2-Die Set is a great die set for the avid reloader. This die set includes a Custom Grade New Dimension (CGND) Full Length Sizer Die and a CGND Seating Die. The Full Length Sizer Die features a Zip Spindle, with a series of light threads cut on the spindle and spindle collet. This eliminates spindle slippage, and makes tightening the spindle lock a breeze when making adjustments. The floating bullet alignment sleeve and stem in the CGND Seating Die improve bullet seating and accuracy by pre-aligning the bullet and case before seating. The seating die also applies a roll crimp to secure the bullet in the case. The CGND die set comes packaged in a plastic storage box, and includes two Sure-Loc rings. Shellholder is sold separately.

I have been reloading for about 7 years now and used rcbs, lee and hornady products at various tImes. These dies for the blackout are extremely under priced for what you get. Quality control at Hornady deserves a thumbs up!

I recently purchased the Hornady Custom grade two die set in 300BLK. I have never used Hornady dies before and purchased them based on price point, as they were the least expensive of the four companies dies that I found available for this caliber. I performed the initial cleaning on the dies and found that the dies set up very well in my RCBS single stage press and the locking collars held tight even without cranking on the set screw. I began to size my first 20 rounds and found that the sizer was leaving a single cosmetic scratch (not deep enough to cause problems, just enough to see it) on one side of the case as I pressed them. I removed the die and cleaned it again then ran the next 20, the scratch persisted for about 5 more rounds and then went away, hasn't been back since. The cases sized up perfectly as per my Wilson Case Gage and were ready to load. I set up the seater die and found the bullet guide to be a real treat, they go in perfectly straight every time. The lock rings on this die held position well once dialed in on your depth. Set about 40 rounds without a crimp and found that they all cycled and fired perfectly from my weapon. I am very happy with the Hornady Custom Grade dies in this caliber. I would recommend these dies to others for use.

These are a great set of dies. I am using these dies to reform cut down Lake City Brass to form my own .300 brass. Took about 10 mins to get the sizer die set up properly. I used the L.E. Wilson case gage to help me set up the die properly. Then I did my first 50 cases, which I checked with that case gage and a caliper. No notable changes. Really a great set for the money.

Poor! Should be 0 stars, but 1 is as low as I can rate it. The new zip spindle seems to be very weak. Bent it resizing my first case. This was factory fresh, never been fired Hornaday brass. Straightened the spindle out and it ripped the neck off the next case. Yes the cases were well lubed. I'm not sure the need for the zip spindle. Its not like you adjust that part of the die much once its setup. Seems like a solution to a non-existant problem that then causes more problems. I'm going back to the good old green boxes that have served me well for 25+ years. One set of dies, free to good home, used 2 times. Will be in a round can at the end of my driveway on Monday morning.

I've replaced most of my old (green and red) die sets with these Hornady dies. I am very impressed with the quality and especially the design of the sliding bullet sleeve. Each round is perfectly aligned with minimum to no runout!Previous posts concerning rods pulling out during resizing - this is a simple fix, as explained in the die instructions - tighten the collet at the top of the die! Also, it is common practice to lube the inside of the case neck to prevent excessive stretching.I am also impressed with the MidwayUSA online cart system! This is a terrific program with virtually instantaneous updating of availability of stock! I wish all vendors had comparable programs.

My first set of Hornady dies! I am impressed with the quality and price. They perform just like advertised, with the resizing of 223 or 5.56 brass, and with the seating die that picks up the bullets allignment before seating. Using the die set in a Dillon progressive press.

I held out for the Hornady version of 300 AAC Blackout dies for my Lock-n-Load AP because I really like the New Dimension die sets and I was not disappointed! These dies are GREAT!After setup, I cranked out 100 rounds of 300 AAC Blackout rounds using Hornady 150gr FMJ BT bullets and these dies worked perfectly. I did not use them for crimping, I had purchased the LEE Factory Crimp die for that (It too worked great).Overall, I am extremely please with how perfect this first batch of ammo turned out. I can't say enough about the alignment sleeve Hornady designed into their seating dies. It is a simple yet genius idea. If you are looking to load 300 AAC/Whisper, GET THESE DIES! At any price they would be worth it, but for this price it is an amazing deal. Throw in the Lee Factory Crimp die and you'll have a combo for around that will be tough to beat at any price.
