Product Information

The MidwayUSA Sniper Drag Bag Scoped Rifle Case is the perfect gun case for competition or a day at the range. The MidwayUSA Sniper Drag Bag Scoped Rifle Case is constructed of a super tough 600 Denier PVC coated polyester that is considerably lighter than 1000 Denier but almost as abrasion resistant. Additionally, the Sniper Drag Bag features reinforced stitching, heavy duty zippers and closed cell foam padding in all pockets that will provide a long lasting gun case that ensures excellent protection for your gear. The 6" full wraparound loop closure handle is balanced in the center of the empty case for stability and the heavy duty removable backpack straps make carrying this case much easier.

These cases also benefit from additional features that allow them to truly be used as a drag bag when doing a stalk to your final firing point. The nose of the case incorporates an additional guard to keep sticks and grass from working their way into the case. This nose cap is completely removable on the 56" cases and is tethered on 50" models. The drag bag has a complete divider wall for 2 gun storage. 3 external pockets and 1 internal pocket gives you plenty of storage for all of your supplies and accessories.

I'll admit that I haven't ...

I'll admit that I haven't field-tested it, but the build quality is excellent. Using the bag as it is intended (drag bag) would pose no problem whatsoever to both bag and rifle/scope... it is very rugged.The padded divider inside is attached by velcro, the hook portion of which is quite rough, but as long as the divider is attached properly, it will not contact your rifle. I simply had to re-seat the divider, and it's a non-issue now.The inside pocket has stitched (elastic?) loops to hold 10 cartridges, and has space to hold other items... my wind-meter rides in here.The three, main outer pockets all have straps with buckles to secure gear. The fourth outer pocket (with a diagonal zipper, located on top of the square outer pocket) has no internal straps, but is a simple, normal pocket.The "backpack" shoulder straps aren't the greatest in design, but they work well enough and aren't too uncomfortable (in other words, they're uncomfortable but bearable for a mid-range trip. These straps are also detachable; so, if you're not going to use the backpack straps, you'll probably want to take them off. The bag also has an optional shoulder strap that can be easily attached or detached; personally, I find this the best way to carry the bag for most common purposes. The last carry method is using the handles... obviously. They're ok, but they would've been better placed a bit more forward to balance the bag better. Still, they work just fine.Lastly, if you're really going to use this as a drag bag, the "nose" of the bag does have an outer protective layer and a seemingly durable loop from which to drag the bag. The should strap, when extended, is also long enough to use as a "drag strap," if that's even a proper term... All the main pockets have double zippers that seem tough. I'm not sure what denier material is used, but it really seems heavy-duty. There is enough padding to protect your rifle better than most other soft cases, and the straps inside are designe

I had two of the snaps that appeared to have been crushed when they were installed and spent 20+ minutes each prying them apart trying not to damage them further. On the first trip one of the zipper pulls came unclasped, that to had been damaged when installed as best I could tell. Then there is the issue with the carry handles, they are located too far to the rear. Put one tactical rifle in it and its a job to carry the bag without bumping the muzzle section on the ground. Put two in it and you will be bragging the ground. I found the back pack straps to be poorly located as well. Adjusted to sit as high as possible the bag was still bouncing/slapping my legs just above the rear of my knees. I am not tall 511, but not so short that this should be an issue. The plus side is it will fit two full size tactical rifles well and has pockets everywhere. The material appears to be of good enough quality that it wont rip or wear out any time real soon.

This is a great item. A very high level of protection and abundent storage.I carry this all the way to the tree stand before removing firearm. I would recommend this to veryone but a youth as it would probably be to heavy for them.

This bag is built tough. Sewn right and the material is very durable. Plenty of storage space and compartments. Haven't had the chance to abuse it yet, but I'm not worried. This bag can take it. Would recommend to anyone in the market for a drag bag and is interested in quality and value.

This bag is a winner for the price. Got the bag home and first thing I did was install 550 cord on all zippers (as suggested by others). The bag is durable and many pockets for all your gear. The handles could stand to be a little farther forward as your gun does tilt nose to ground a little....not a big issue. My long range gun fits very comfortable in it with plenty of room. My gun has so many goodies attached I couldn't begin to get it in a scoped rifle case.... but this case is AWESOME! Probably going to get one for my Barrett too. Good padding both sides with padded center divider, and rifle tie downs each side. Worth the money. MidwayUSA must have tied my order to an MX Missle.... rocket fast delivery!

Great for my extremely long shotgun. Easily holds both my shotgun and rifle. Room for a pistol pouch as well. Only complaint is the zipper is not well suited to lock. Had to add metal rings for a lock. Not an issue in the US but here in Calif we need to lock them securely to transport. Great bag for the price.

I didn't need this, I just wanted it. I've owned this for a couple of months and I am well pleased with value. Overall, you can't beat it for the price. However- be aware that the corded zipper pulls will either be in pieces upon receipt or will fall eventually. Use your own cord and fix it. The shoulder straps are suitable for range use, I wouldn't plan on hiking this bag anywhere. Lastly, the nose cone on shorter model is attached and more or less useless. It's an annoyance, gets in the way, doesn't have enough velcro for it's function so my advise it cut it off! Other's will sell you a similar quality bag and big "name" for about $175. For the savings I can live with this bag's shortcomings.

As soon as I took this bag out of the box I was pleasantly surprised.
The quality of this bag for the money was very good.
I ordered the 50" bag and it JUST fits my Savage 10FCP-K .308 which measures 47" including the muzzle break.
If your rifle is longer than 47" go with the larger bag.

I have been using this ...

I have been using this bag for over a year now. It's main use is to carry my Remington 700 to and from the range. The 50 inch bag fits a SPS Varmit perfectly. It carries my rifle, spotting scope, bipod, and log books easily. The zippers pulls do not last and break easily. "The 6" full wraparound loop closure handle is balanced in the center of the empty case for stability..", but they are in the wrong position for a loaded case, almost to the point of being useless. Fortunately, the backpack straps and the shoulder strap work great.The numerous pockets, inside and out, are convienent and well though out.I gave it three stars, because it's a good bag, not a great bag. The price makes it awesome, though. I'm buying another one for my new rifle.

Once again Midway branded ...

Once again Midway branded products offer superb value at unbelieveable price points. This bag offers excellent quality and obviously was designed by people who would actually use it. It is a well thought out design that offers an unusual level of versatility. It is very sturdy and well built. Two things I must comment on, First, the interior center divider is removable. Yes, the strings that loop thru the zipper pulls will come apart, You can loop some para cord thru them and tie the loose ends into a knot and they will last forever. The zippers are very heavy duty as is everything with this bag. I bought this for a Savage 110 BA and it fit like it was made specifically for it (56 inch model ). The interior tie downs work great to keep the rifle from moving around inside. As designed this bag offers a lot of versatility with its design and is very durable.....Well done Midway!!!

Lots of room material ...

Lots of room material seems rugged enough for years to come I will probably do some modifications to it to fit my needs. My ar fit perfect in it for my purpose I won't need room for 2 rifles though. Thank you midway for a great bag for a great price.
