I like the 55 grain hollow point, but the 55 grain spitzer shoots better in my rifle. The best group that I was able to get with the hollow point was .875 @ 100 yards. The best group with the spitzer was .375 @ 100 yards. However, I have shot more loads using the 55 grain spitzer. I am still looking for a good load for the hollow point. I am sure that I will find one.

Out of a 1:9 AR15 these ...

Out of a 1:9 AR15 these will shoot some very tight groups. Im loading them lightly but they will still deliver nice grouping up to about 150 yards...for 200+ yards I would maybe go with a boat tail bullet but these are no slouch. Considering for varmint hunting over V-max

Tried all the tipped ...

Tried all the tipped bullets ,1 soft point ,and a couple of hollow points including Sierra 69gr match bullets in my Stag Arms #6 with an 8 twist and could not get the tight groups I have gotten out of these dogtown 55 hps. I am useing sorted and trimmed cases,Benchmark powder with Federal match primers and now loading to std c.o.l.Went from large groups of 1.1" to .965 with those bullets to Dogtown 55s at an average of .420.I dont know why, I just do or die.I now have a goto bullet for all of my varmint rifles.I wont go into my .222 w/34gr Dogtowns or my Remington AR-15 in .204 w/.34 gr Dogtown.Both have tighted there groups by 1/2 to 3/4s of an inch which puts both in the 1/2 moa range.Dont know what to do with all these OTHER bullets now! Thanks Nosler & Midway.

I have tried 3 different ...

I have tried 3 different loads in my .222 and these shoot 1.25" groups. Sierra bullets shoot 1/2" groups all day long. Good for plinking, but for scores they are not even close.

Great bullets! I get 3/4" group. Load 26 gr of 2230,COAL 2.175 in my RRA predator pursuit. I only wish there was published data to work with.

I have tried different bullets over the years, most of them I had poor results with. I bought a box of these because of the price. My grandson loves going to the range with me and he likes to see how fast he can empty a 30 round mag in my AR. I stumbled across a pet load one day surfing the net, and they were talking about a 27gr load of Varget for a 55gr JHP. Well I had to try it, seemed like a hot load to me, but I did find the load listed in one of my reloading books. Well shooting this load in a Savage Model 12 Varmit rifle I am able to hold a 5 shot group in 1/2" at 100 yards. I was I sold on these bullets immediately . I have tried other 55gr bullets but I can not get the same results. I will keep buying these and stock up when they go on sale again. Thank you Midway USA

I try many kinds and ...

I try many kinds and weights of bullets always looking for the elusive one hole group. These aint bad folks! With my first run of test loads the worst group measured .820 @ 100 while the best was five shots in .480. This is with a Rock River Predator AR15 with a 20" bbl. These shoot as well as most of the match bullets I have tried. Going to get 500 this time they're a winner.

Shot 3/8" 5 shot groups at 100yrds on 5/8/2012 out of a savage edge (another great value). Great bullet for the money, compares to much more expensive round I have used in the past.
