Once you've determined where your gun is ejecting empties, simply place the net in the location and fire away. This CTK Precision Universal Brass Catcher sits on the bench next to the firearm (does not attach to the firearm) and works offhand, sitting or prone. Anyone who owns a Mini 14 ...

Anyone who owns a Mini 14 knows they sling brass all over creation and back which is the main reason I got this unit. Good quality materials are used throughout and the design is solid. The netting is heavy duty and looks to be good for the long run. It goes together quickly and the nice wide metal base gives it a solid footprint so tipping isn't an issue. The large mouth gives plenty of wiggle room without having to worry about overshooting the net and once I got the placement on the bench right it caught everything my Mini threw at it and I was tickled pink at not having to wander back and forth along the firing line trying to find all my brass. I'll be using it when I bench test all my auto pistols as well.I initially hesitated at the price but now that I've handled and used it I'm satisfied I got my money's worth. Factoring in wasted time and lost brass this little gem will pay for itself in no time. It's a reloader's best friend at the range. Recommended.

The product was well ...

The product was well made, but the product on a tripod shooting pistol setting up every different was and following the instructions. Would not catch brass to save my life. I had tried adjusting the angle for the brass catch, but the brass would not go in the net. I had the product setup to have slack in the netting as suggested. I would not recommend this product. I was recommend just using a brass wizard to pick up your brass.

The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

Absolutely fantastic! This is just big enough to catch brass out of my AR-15 in .223, my AK which flings brass 9 benches down (or used to), and my 6.5 Grendel. It's lightweight and doesn't take up the entire shooting bench. Breaks down nicely and I just keep it in my trunk as it doesn't take up much space. Not only am I keeping cases out of others faces I don't have to fetch my brass anymore - this thing has already paid for itself in lost brass! Get away from the strap on side catches as they cause jams and are mostly garbage, this thing is awesome!

For years most of my bench shooting has been with bolt guns; however, as of late I'm spending more time a the bench working up loads for hunting and competition rifles built on AR platforms. This net saves my back from the awful chore of picking up empty cases from the gound. The net is really large, and one can fill the base stand with shot to add weight if one so desires.

I saw a guy at the range with this nifty product. I had assumed it was a custom design, and decided to walk a few benches down and ask about it. I was excited and disappointed at the same time. Excited with the fact that I could buy one for Midway at an affordable price, disappointed that someone thought of this invention before I did and is likely on their way to a fortune. I took this out to the range and shot about 100 rounds with my AR-15. I shot some .223 and 5.56 spec rounds and the net caught 99% of them. Of course, it takes a few shots to optimize your placement but trust me you'll figure it out within 2-3 shots. This certainly is a huge improvement over the stap to barrel/upper receiver shell catcher that I was using. That thing caused jams and although kept the brass at my bench, rarely kept in the mesh bag. I had two needs before purchasing this; 1 - catch my brass because I'm an avid reloader... 2 - keep my brass from flying in 3 benches down and burning the poor guy next to me. This product accomplished both. Now, I'll have to try it with my AK-47 that is notorious for throwing cases about 50 feet...I'm not joking!

I have an AR and I ...

I have an AR and I reload. It is a pain to try and case brass down at the range. I tried the attachable catchers and they tended to cause jamming when the case couldn't fully eject. I would make an adjustment and it was ok for a while. I saw this product and tried it. WOW no more crawling around on my knees to pick up brass under the bench. I fired 150 rounds of 223 and it only missed catching 3 rounds. Two of those were on the bench and one on the ground. The unit is large and some people may think your going fishing and not shooting. Even at, and maybe becase of its large size this brass catcher works fantastic. I highly recommend it for the bench shooter.

My brother and shoot a lot of .22s (1000-2000) a month. I bought one of these because I was tired of brass everywhere. IT WORKS GREAT. It might not catch all of them, but it does not miss much. Easy to set-up easy to use. Advice- fill lower tube with sand or whatever- much more stable.

Great for collecting ...

Great for collecting brass for reloading. It also is great a ranges whare shooters are close and ejected brass will hit the next shooter. It will collect .22 from a 10/22 as well as 223 from an ar 15.

this product has sold itself to almost everyone that has seen it is action at the range. my only complaint is that it comes in a pizza box, i would rather see something that is designed for long term storage. the size of the item makes it rather hard to find a case or bag that it will fit in. looking like a pro at the range is hard when others at the range thing you just brought a pizza.
