The Lee Improved Powder Measure Kit is the perfect powder measure kit for the reloader who is looking for a set of dippers for small batch reloading. These dippers are inherently safe as they measure powder by volume and cannot get out of adjustment. This kit includes 15 uniformly graduated dippers that measure from .3 cubic centimeters to 4.3 cubic centimeters and a handy application table that shows what powder charges can be thrown with each dipper.

Completely perfect in every way. For under $6.00, every reloader should own a set. If you load down 10%, you can never overcharge a case. If it cost $100.00, I'd own a set. I've owned a set since I left the military in 1966. My cousin just retired and began reloading. I bought him a set. If you use either of Richard Lee's books, you can obtain the correct measure to use at a glance. I've made some great cartridges with these measures. Just fill it up and run a business card across the top. You will be amazed at the great loads you get.

These small plastic measures are great if you are reloading small batches; 100 or less. You can avoud setting up your powder measure; just grab the correct plastic spoon and pour it on your scale. Very quick and efficient for small batches.

These power scoops are great, You find one that is just under and trickle the rest and you are right on. They save a lot of time. I measure every powder charge on my reloads. These save me time and money ( not investing in a expensive digital model). Each to his own on how they reload, these work great for my style of reloading. Wes

Have been using a set of these for about 20 years now. I'm replacing some because I have lost a few that I use frequently.

For those who are concerned that the scoops do not come in the sizes you need: I select the next size up. Then I adjust the size by cutting out some cardboard to fit into the scoop to reduce the volume to what I want. Just trace the scoop mouth onto the material and cut it out to be slightly larger that the inside diameter. I press the cardboard in tightly with the shank end of a drill bit.
These "slugs" stay in tightly for a long time. For minor adjustments, I cut small pieces of electrical tape and stick them in using tweezers.
Just be sure to check how much powder the scoop throws at each reloading session.
No permanent changes are made to the scoops this way.

steps too large

The steps between the scoops are too large. For a small rifle case like .223 one step is more than 1/6 of the case capacity, and more than the usual difference between minimum and maximum loads. The only way to get an in-between load is to use 2 or 3 scoops which add up to what you want, and risk a dangerous overload if you mis-count.

As they are these scoops are useful only for fast loading of greatly reduced plinking loads in larger cases. I won't be using them at all.

The dippers work but I ...

The dippers work but I have since changed to a powder measure for better speed and accuracy. If you reload handgun calibers you can only use the smallest two or three dippers. For example if you are using W231 the 0.3 cc dipper will throw 3.2 gr while the 0.5 cc dipper will throw 5.4 gr and there is nothing in between. It is possible to file down the 0.5 cc dipper to make a 0.4cc so you can get a dipper for that "perfect load" but then you can't really use it for anything else.
