I own several Boyt pistol cases because they are simply the best I have found for any price. I ordered this case for a new benchrest rifle I built. As I expected, the materials and workmanship were outstanding. The case fit the rifle and had generous dimensions. I felt the padding was on the thin side for a rifle case. The zipper, while certainly substancial, is made of metal and tended to hang up and not work smoothly. Also, because the case does not unzip completely towards the muzzle end, the zipper easily brushed against the rifle when taking it out and putting it back in the case. Undoubtedly, this will scratch the stock over time. I returned the case for these reasons. I felt these few issues were too much of a compromise at this price.

I have aquired this product and was well pleased. It's very well built, good quality material and has ample room for long guns. As far as the price, I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" I would recommend this item to anyone.

This case is really too ...

This case is really too small for my Rem 700 SPS with Nikon Monarch and HS precision 14 1/2 LOP stock. OAL 47" It is not the length, rather it is the heighth and width that is lacking. I was also disappointed with the padding. Although there is excellent protection from the elements etc., there appears to be very little impact protection. I will be ordering a case that will fit.

Very rugged on the ...

Very rugged on the outside, extremely soft on the inside. Leather on BOTH ends. I put my 700 in it and hang it in the closet using the loop at the tip. Keep 20 rounds of Nosler .30-06 in 2 of the Boyt 10 round wallets. Keep the wallets in the side pouch of the case. It all goes together very well! Worth every penny.
