Great light w/o spending a small fortune

First thing I noticed was how small and light it was. I was using a Min-Mag LED light before this, so I was expecting something similar. It is way smaller and unbelievably light. I wear it for work on my belt in the holster and forget it's there. The holster is nothing fancy, but it's nice and works well. It is very bright. Once you get how it clicks through the different modes, it's a piece of cake. I'm very happy with it.

Couldn't ask for a better product. This is an everyday addition to my belt. Its very bright and it last very well. Batteries are inexpesive. It is proven water proof and it is very light.

What a great little light! I've had lots of inquiries about it from co-workers. Very bright "high beam" and useful "low beam". Haven't needed the strobe, and hopefully never will. The only problem with this, and this type of SureFire for that matter is that the function switch seems to go bad or wear out. My current 2L had to go back to StreamLight who sent me another light without comment.

Best light you will find. Three way switches takes a bit of practice but once you get it, it is a breeze. This light kicks butt!

After playing around with a friend's Streamlight ProTac 2AA, I decided to look in to the product line to find a new every day carry light. I decided on the ProTac 2L and I am very pleased with the quality and value. It is extremely bright, light weight and compact. I have a Surefire 6P, G2 and have purchased a Surefire E2D for my dad but I don't like any of them quite as well as I like the ProTac 2L. I would definitely recommend this to somebody looking for a great flashlight to carry on a regular basis.

Perfect light for every day carry. It is light weight, compact and very powerful. I have a Surefire 6P and Surefire G2 that I like, but that are not very convenient for every day carry. The Streamlight ProTac 2L is more powerful and easy to carry than either of the SureFires I own. Another couple of things I liked is that the mode selection easy to use after taking a little time to get used to it, and that the light has a great balance between throw and flood characteristics for the purposes I need. As a few other people have mentioned, the light does get hot pretty quickly but that is to be expected from a light this size with such high output. I would definitely recommend this flashlight to anybody in the market for one this size.

Extremely bright, easy to switch to the different modes, high quality and for a very fair price. With this much bang for the buck it's hard to justify a Surefire. Awesome light!!

I'm a probation supervisor and since it arrived it hasn't left my side. It is unbelievably Bright, even in a lighted room. The strobe is blinding and perfect to momentarily disable a potential threat. It carries easy and must have great shock resistance as I've dropped it several times and have fired my .40 Glock with this right up against it.

Slim line all the way, ...

Slim line all the way, with pocket clip and ballistic holster and velcro vests mounting straps in the back. Streamlight really does it right. The light is BRIGHT, when I turned it on by a very positive base push button a flood of light came off of this thing that was right out of Star Wars. Did I say it is BRIGHT? The beam is a two stage type. Built in center beam of crisp white light and a well-lit halo around it. Perfectly capable of light up a 15-15 room while entering a door way. Camping, duty use I think this is a winner all the way. It ships with 2 Duracell C123 batts, The unit propaganda states 180 lumens on full batteries; I tell you they see this light on Venus. FYI, just looking at the center beam while on an off white walk set my retinas in to over load and I saw white dots for 20 minutes. This isn't a reading light! CON: maybe an issue. I had it on for perhaps 3 minutes and the case became very warm, the battery consumption causes a lot of heat quickly.

I am very happy with this light! Very bright and easy to carry. the only problem I had is the on button would get pushed while in the holster and used up the batteries. Also the light gets very warm from the batteries when left on for a while. I solved the problem by gluing a nickle to the flap that covers the flashlight now the switch can't be accidentally pushed.
