Custom-grade ammunition from the factory. Built to the tightest tolerances for peak performance rivaling and sometimes surpassing handloads in many guns.

Based on the 221 Remington cartridge, the 300 Whisper cartridge loaded by Hornady is being offered in both a supersonic load (MidwayUSA #195-410 ) and this subsonic load, the 208 grain A-Max. Built for AR-15 type platform rifles, this cartridge is compatible for guns chambered in the 300 AAC Blackout as well and is an excellent choice for tactical situations.

The aerodynamic secant ogive profile of the sharp, pointed tip and unmatched concentricity give the A-Max an extremely high ballistic coefficient for near perfection in flight. After closely studying the performance of bullets for more than half a century, Hornady has incorporated every aspect of what makes a bullet accurate into the A-Max. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.
