Absolutely terrible finish! Not something I expected with this manufacturer, awful quality as well as fit and finish just an overall bad product. I will not be placing this on my project instead will be waiting for a quality part to arrive.

The charging handle is well made. The finish matches all of my upper receivers. All in all, this is a well made product as are the other Daniel Defense products I have purchased.

Was looking for a charging handle to finish my latest AR project. Did alot of checking on the numerous makes available. But after seeing the quality of the Daniel Defense bolt carrier assembly I purchased. It was a no brainer......Top quality materials and excellent craftsmanship!! In today's rush to mass produce AR parts, alot of manufactures have dropped their standards. Daniel Defense hasn't! Good Job and thanks Midway!!!!!

I have had problems with ...

I have had problems with other "name brand" charging handles, so I decided to pay a little more for this one. I have not had the chance to use it much, but the fit and finish are truly excellent. So far I have tried it in DPMS uppers, and various "mil-spec" uppers with no problems; the fit is snug but smooth and it doesn't have a tendency to flop around. I cannot comment on the durability yet as I haven't used these weapons very much.I worked as a Combat Arms Instructor and armorer when I was in the USAF and performed this job for roughly 12 years of my 20 year career. In those years I had the opportunity to handle, detail clean, and repair (as needed) several thousand M-16s.

I wanted a name brand charging handle for my high end AR varmint rifle build, and bought this one to go along with Daniel Defense bolt carrier. Function is flawless. Sometimes the generic stuff can overwhelm a person. Thanks Daniel Defense!!

Poor finish, worst ...

Poor finish, worst anodizing I'd seen in a long time. Rough texture on the sheet metal stamped out latch. I would not put this on a match or custom AR15.
