For someone to spend ...

For someone to spend thousands of dollars on a rifle, and not spend 5 min online to understand that ALL M-33 ball has a steel core is silly. If you need a lead core, shoot A-max bullets. After a second match I am convinced this is one of the best ways to go with M-33. Used some other versions with less than satisfactory results (pressure spikes). With over 300 rounds of the Federal down range now, never had a problem. Good brass for reloading as well. LC 09.

A buddy and I just ...

A buddy and I just finished firing a case of this at a long range .50 match this weekend. We are both new to the gun (McMillan Tac-50) but both of us were able to shoot 20" 5 shot groups. Yes, this is 2 MOA, but their were many people on the line that fired similar groups with much more expensive ammo. In many instances, 4 shots were within 10 inches with one round opening up the group. I would not hesitate to shoot this ammo in a match again if money was tight. I still have much I could learn shooting this ammo.

A great round. Cold bore ...

A great round. Cold bore shot in the Bushmaster BA50 with a BORS @ 725 yards...dead on, hits 8" targets at that distance all day. I had to call Federal to get the BC of this round they said it was .620 and my muzzle velocity was 2710 consistently. for the price this is an awesome buy!

Seems to be uniform and consistent - no problems chambering or extracting in my Serbu. Tight group while sighting in - waiting for a chance at long ( 800+ ) range.Too bad all .50 costs so much, though.

This ammunition attracts a magnet, indicating a steel core. It cannot be used at many ranges, including mine. A lot of money down the drain for ammo I can't use.

Federal American Eagle 50 ...

Federal American Eagle 50 BMG Ammunition is great! This ammo performs very well. I have only got to shoot it out to three hundred yards but it groups well. The only thing I wished they would do is package it in plastic shell boxes.

Biggest disappointment is ...

Biggest disappointment is velocity. Only 2600 fps from my 30" Armalite. Too much ES (80) and SD (26) to be reliable long range shooting, but reasonably accurate (9" @ 1000 yards first group in 10-15 mph variable cross wind).

I got these just for fun ...

I got these just for fun shooting, without being too pricey. They shoot fine, I haven't noticed any issues with pressure or sticky cases. Some of the brass was dull, but I rather expected that. Would purchase these again!
