Shooting Sporting ...

Shooting Sporting Clays.The shot shells worked fine in my Remington 870 Pump. I had no misfires and no loading problems out of the box of 25. Shot better with a Modified choke tube then a Full choke tube. I had 12 hits out of 24 clays (5 out of 12 with a Full choke) (7 out of 12 with a Modified choke). Inside the barrel was really not that dirty. Plus, had a lot of clays with shot holes in them but didn't break the clays. So I would rate 3 stars.

These worked fine in my Ruger Red Label on the Skeet Range. They were clean shooters and I had no malfunctions out of the 250 rounds.

This is the best load ...

This is the best load I've found for my Remington 870 shooting sporting clays. Out of over 500 rounds, I've not had a single malfunction. The pattern on #9 seems a lot better on clays than the #8's I was using before (also Federal). Of course, that could just be the pattern covering for my poor marksmanship :o).I've found the ammo to be a little on the dirty side, but a quick swab of the barrel before you case your weapon should prevent any corrosion or soot buildup. Problem easily solved.I'm sold on this ammo. I think you will be too.By the way for your bird hunters, I've also found it quite good for doves in the past. I hunt clays, now. But I always shot Federal then, too.
