I dont know about you guys, but Im experiencing a mild form of sticker shock every time I see a $5.00-$6.00 box of 50 to 100 22 long rifle rounds. Cmon CCI, we can do just fine without the fancy plastic box, and I dont know too many people who really need Stingers and Velocitors to put varmints or empty beverage containers away for good. Blazers are still fairly reasonable, but almost every other round in your long rifle inventory crowds or easily exceeds the four dollar a box mark. Youve managed to chase me away from your overpriced products, but Im happy to report that Ive found a company that still believes in keeping performance oriented 22 long rifle ammunition inexpensive.Federal 38 grain copper plated hollow points will do whatever 36 grain CCI mini mag hollow points will do, and purchasing the American Eagles will save you about 33%. (At this writing, Midway lists the CCI mini mags at 5.6 cents per round, and the American Eagles sell for 3.75 cents per round.) Ballistically speaking, both rounds are identical, and Im pleased to report that the Eagles perform superbly on everything from pine cones to prairie poodles with every 22 I own. American Eagle long rifle rounds feature outstanding accuracy and flawless reliability at a very reasonable price.

Great ammo, I use it ...

Great ammo, I use it primarily in my Ruger 22/45. Accuracy is very good, I shoot at 15-25 ft offhand as practice for defensive shooting, I get about a quarter sized group or better with slow fire, I'm the limiting factor not the ammo. Runs very clean, I use a bore snake and brush out the bolt area after every 400 rounds. I do a complete breakdown of the gun and clean every 1500-2000 rounds with this ammo. Doesn't leave granules of powder like other bulk ammo (including non-American Eagle federal bulk) I get maybe 1 or 2 stovepipes every 400 rnd brick which is nothing compared to other comparable ammo. I have gone through about 3000 rounds. My 40x with a 3-9x scope will produce on average dime size groups at 25 yards off a rest with this ammo. I have tried match ammo and there is a difference but not enough to justify the extra price for my use and shooting ability.

Good accuracy under 1.5 ...

Good accuracy under 1.5 in pattern at 75+yds, bad functionality 10/22 jammed about 1 in 20-50rds they absolutely will not cycle in my 2010 Walther P22.

Groups from my Remington ...

Groups from my Remington 597 are half the size with this ammo when compared with Winchester Dyna-point at 50 yards. No feeding or ignition problems. In my opinion, worth the money.

One happy plinker. Works ...

One happy plinker. Works the best in my Ruger Mark III 22/45. The CCI mini mags are supposed to be the best, but these run through with fewer probs; fail to fire or fail to feed (though the CCI are a *very* close second). Seem to be clean but I clean after every trip to the range and only 100-200 rounds per trip. As for accuracy, lets just say barn sides don't fear me ;) But thats me not the ammo. Now to use up the Thunderbolts I have.

This ammunition shoots ...

This ammunition shoots very well out of my Marlin 925. I have had maybe one or two failures out of 400+ shots fired. A very accurate round with very good terminal characteristics when hunting. Any shot on small game within 80 yards in the chest will put it down; one shot kill on a groundhog confirmed at 60 yards, very good for a .22LR. I would suggest it to anyone who's looking for the best bang for the buck.

Ammo performs well with generally tight groups at 50yds. Cycles well in my Marlin 60 with no FTFs in over 400 rds.

Put a few hundred rounds ...

Put a few hundred rounds through my 22/45 and found them to be a very nice round. I had 1 failure to fire which was the guns fault and another failure that was the rounds fault. they fed very well and had no malfunctions other than the one failure to fire , for the price I would definitely recommend this round for target even though they are hollow points there price is lower than most round nose and they burn pretty clean compared to others Ive shot (Remington) I prefer Aguila's but these were great and worth the 20 bucks.

I have shot 400 of these ...

I have shot 400 of these rounds through my Marlin 925-R bolt-action rifle. I had only 1 FTF in the entire bulk. Overall, fairly reliable and very clean ammo. The accuracy is average at 50 yards resulting in 3" groups. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to test it at 100 yards or more, but I have a strong feeling that I would struggle to hit the center of the target at the distance of more than 50 yards. It is worth the money, but only good for close-mid range shooting. Do not buy for competitions...
