I have three shooting star magazines and I've had them for a couple of years now and I haven't had any of the problems described. I think they are a great alternative to beating on my Wilson 47D's during reload drills. I shoot quite a bit so my mags do get a workout-in my experience these feed just fine.

Tried 3 of these in my ...

Tried 3 of these in my Springfield 1911A1, none would work, the follower flops around allowing smokestack jams on the last casing everytime. CMC puts warnings all over its packaging that any problems are your ammo or gun. Yeah right, my gun works even with old GI mags and any kind of ammo. When contacted by email CMC blamed my gun and/or ammo, Midway took them back without question. I would buy any other brand than these based on the failures and buck passing by CMC.

Works great with Rock Island officers model. Bought a few no names at gun show that did not hold up. These mags work, eject clean, and I have fired about 100 rounds through each.

Chip McCormick Shooting Star mags are all I have used in USPSA competition, for the last year and a half. Absolutely no mag issues. They simply work!

I have eight of these mags that have been used monthly for over a year in USPSA competition. They also are used during the month for practice. I have never had an issue with them. They work!

I picked up a couple of these about 2 months ago for my RIA Tactical 1911. Since I've got these magazines, I've put 200 rounds of WWB through my pistol using these two magazines and the factory mag without any problems.

I have used these mags for years and subjected them to extremely adverse environments. If YOUR pistol is reliable, these mags function flawlessly, are rugged, and easy to maintain. I prefer these to Wilson mags for target shooting, handgun hunting, and self defense.

I have mags bought over 6 years old and find about half are 100%. My latest mags have the follower separating from the spring and popping out causing jams. Materials, fit and finish are good...can't figure out defects. All mags could be tweaked to work. I found parts could be swapped with other mags so all is not lost.

I bought one. Not bad but Im sticking to CM Power Mags. Power Mags can be dismantled for cleaning and if you shoot on any regular basis youll need to give them a good cleaning from time to time.
