Excellent little spotter. ...

Excellent little spotter. Lightweight, tough coating, and decently clear for its size. I used it for gallery pistol shooting last winter and it was great. Can't beat it for the price, and packs easily in the pistol bag, no need for a rolling range box.

Got one today, agree with ...

Got one today, agree with others, best optics for the money I've ever had. Small, light, clear and crisp. Wish I'd bought this long ago. I added a monopod for field use, leaving my big heavy binocs at home when afield from now on.

The Burris compact scope ...

The Burris compact scope that I purchased, is an extremely handy tool. At 8.5 inches long, I will be able to carry it in any hunting and shooting trips that I go on. The optics are as clear as the Nikon scopes that I use on my rifles, so I am able to see my hits and misses on the range up to 400yds. Another feature that is very handy is the focus setting which is on the top right of the unit. This makes for very easy and handy focusing.With Burris quality, and its compact size, it will be with me on most of my hunting and shooting trips for many years to come.Eric MarleauForest Lake, Minnesota

An excellent value for ...

An excellent value for the money. Optics are brilliant, clear, and equal or exceed those of scopes costing much more. As good as my Leupold scope, which cost twice the price. Bought the Burris to use as a light backpack scope and it excells in that application. Very compact and light weight with performance qualities that will surprise you for relatively inexpensive optics. Overall quality of this product is excellent and a true bargain for the price. Only drawback is that eye relief is short at the highest power setting, but not severe enough to cause real discomfort or viewing problems.

This is one outstanding ...

This is one outstanding spotting scope. I have a Winchester compact that I will now be giving away. This scope is all quality, optics compare with my Leica (which is to large to carry around). Dollar for dollar this is the most satisfying buy I have made in some time. I also got the large window mount with it which has a quick release and also is of high quality. Thanks to Midway for offering high quality at low prices. If you don't have one...GET ONE!!!

I compared this scope ...

I compared this scope with a 12-50 Winchester, collapsible Bushnell and a compact Leupold costing $350. This one wins hands down. Field of view is larger than Bushnell and much brighter than Winchester. Leupold has very prominent skew at the edges of the field of view, so it is totally out of the competition. I use it as replacement for binocs as it is lighter and lets me count points on a buck when my 10x42 binocs don't help.

I was a little hesitant ...

I was a little hesitant about the 40 foot min focus that Burris lists on their site so I was thrilled to find it focuses to 12 1/2 feet at both 12 and 24x. And I don't really understand how but it resolves the holes in the black at 100 yards better than a 20-45x 60mm Spacemaster. The only issues I have are that it takes a lot of turns to change focus, and mine doesn't stop solidly at the zoom limits - I hope that doesn't turn out to be an issue. Excluding the cheap case this scope has a fantastic value to price ratio.

Very clear image with ...

Very clear image with pleasant eye relief and field of view over the entire magnification range. I bought and returned several other scopes and this was the best and also happened to be the least expensive. I tried Brunton, Bushnell and Celestron and this one outperformed all of them. From looking through every spotter I could find or borrow. I learned that 25x is pretty much the maximum magnification for a 50mm scope. I'm very pleased with this one.
