The Mako safety bullet catcher blank firing adapter is designed to work with A2 flash hiders. This functions the same as a standard blank firing adapter but will also stop a lethal projectile from exiting the rifle when inadvertently fired. If a live round is fired the increased pressure will usually cause a failure to extract stopping the function of the weapon and preventing more live rounds from being fired.
