Product Information

Since 1928, Prvi Partizan has been producing custom ammunition in Serbia for competition, indoor ranges and hunting. Full metal jacket loads are non-expanding rounds that were designed for target shooting because of their good penetration ability. This ammunition is new product, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

Poor quality, nine out of sixty wouldn't allow bolt to close. Check each round before hunting.

Bolt would not close on 6 ...

Bolt would not close on 6 out of 20. I'm using a CZ 550. Will probably still buy for practice. Just realize you will not be able to shoot whole box.

Could not close the bolt ...

Could not close the bolt down on 6 out of 40 cartridges. I had 20 FMJ and 20 Soft Point. Same problem with both types.Those that did chamber worked fine and reasonably accurate.I will buy again because the price is low and I can just discard those that are out of size.

Bought 200 rounds (10 ...

Bought 200 rounds (10 boxes) and have found that 2 rounds per box average are hard to close the bolt on...I will buy more but I use this for cheap, fun practice ammo and snap shooting drills only...if you do try to hunt with it, chamber every round first before you get to the field to ensure smooth operation, so you don't get gored or stomped into a mudhole trying to chamber an uncooperative round...also understand these are not as deep of a penetrator as a premium solid and penetration suffers accordingly from a thin full metal jacket that bends and loses shape as opposed to a thick jacket or true solid.

Tried 1 box (20 rounds) ...

Tried 1 box (20 rounds) of 300gr solids. Had 5 that wouldn't chamber. Checked measurements, found the ones that wouldn't chamber had a poorly formed belt leading edge, there was a taper rather than a sharp cutoff down to the case itself. That appears to be causing poor headspace, preventing the bolt from closing and locking. Pulling the bullets and resizing with a full length die did not resolve the problem since the resizing size couldn't remove the "taper" from the belt edge. This taper caused the case-head-to-belt-edge to run anywhere from .225" to .227" rather than the spec of .220". The rounds that chambered fine had a good sharp belt edge with no taper and measured .219" to .220". The 15 rounds that chambered were fired with very good results, a low velocity of 2494 fps and high of 2526 fps, a 2517 fps average, all 15 rounds into 1-3/4" at 100 yards, very close to my Remington 300gr factory loads that give 2532 fps average out of my CZ550 25" bbl. Even considering the loss of 5 rounds out of a 20 round box, the price is still very good compared to other ammo, and I would have no concern carrying these rounds into the field as long as I verified which rounds easily chambered ahead of time. While usable for anything other than the "Big 5" dangerous game, for that rely on the tried and true premium bullet brands, it would probably be best reserved for target practice and getting used to firing this caliber firearm at a greatly reduced price from premium factory loaded ammo. The fired brass all measures well within specs and has been reloaded and fired several times and show no signs of deterioration. I'll buy more of this ammo and just hope for a lower "defect" rate, a few defective rounds out of a box is acceptable at this price.
