This grip is CNC machined from 6061 aircraft grade aluminum. The grip features an o-ring sealed waterproof compartment, weighs in at a mere 5 ounces and has a type II class 3 hard black anodized finish. This grip features vertical and horizontal ribs which provide a secure grip. This grip will mount to any Picatinny-Style rail.

I put this on my ak47 ...

I put this on my ak47 with the Midwest forearm. I mounted this on a Krebs offset grip adapter to get it out of the way of the magazine loading. It's rock solid & more comfortable to hold than the cheap composite UTG grip it replaced. Very nice quality.

I bought one of these for ...

I bought one of these for my existing AR a few months ago. This thing is perfect, you cannot get any better especially for the price. This is a rock solid mount that will not budge, I have fired over 2,000 rds so far and it is as tight as the day I installed it. There is dry storage inside the grip with an O-ring seal to keep batteries dry or you can keep a few spare rds of 5.56 NATO inside there in case you would ever run out of ammo at a bad time. Also there is almost a rubbery feeling on this grip, it is like a rubberized paint which is easy on the hands and feels great. Needless to say I am planning on ordering another one for a new AR Im currently building.

This is a quality product ...

This is a quality product at a fair price. It is all aluminum. Overall length is 4-11/16 inches. Grip length is 3-3/4 inches. Grip diameter is 1-5/16 inches. 1-11/16 inches of Picatinny rail is required for attachment. Compartment cap is 1-15/32 inches around and 3/16 of an inch thick. Grip is attached to the rail with an included socket head cap screw, which when tightened is nearly flush on both sides. Connection is solid, no noticeable movement or flex. The grip's ribs are aggressive compared to other brands and models, but gloves are not required. I believe a medium length (3-3/4 inches) ACE Ltd. M4 SOCOM foam tube may slide over this grip if desired. The compartment cap is knurled for easy removal and tightening. The cap contains an o-ring, which keeps out water, moisture and helps keep the cap snug. When the cap is installed the o-ring presses against the bottom of the grip, instead of inside the grip like other brands or models. Compartment is large enough to store a spare bolt or 6-rounds of 223/556 ammunition. Compartment is 15/16 of an inch by 3-7/8 inches. The matte black anodized finish is even and smooth. Even though MidwayUSA lists the same model number as Mako Groups website, the grip is not the same as pictured on Mako's website. The grip I received does not have the flat side to accommodate a switch (for lights, lasers, etc.). The only thing cheap about this grip is the Mako sticker. It was not centered, straight or applied correctly. When I opened the package it was already falling off. No problem though, who wants that on their grip anyway. It was easily removed and adhesive cleaned without damage to the finish. If you are looking for a quality aluminum grip at a fair price give this one a try.
