Product Information

This hammer and punch set features an 8 oz hammer with brass head and metal handle, along with 14 pin punches. Brass pin punches in 1/8", 9/64", 5/32", 3/16", 7/32', 1/4", 9/32" and 5/16" are included, along with non-marring synthetic punches in sizes of 15/64" and 3/8". Heavy duty steel pin punches round out the set with two each of 1/16" and 3/32" sizes. Carrying case is included.

Great punch set. Includes brass, steel and synthetic, as well as a nice brass hammer, in the best sizes for firearms disassembly. As a bonus, comes in a nice case to keep it all together(I'm always looking for the proper size punch among the other tools, no more).This is a bargain.

I really have to disagree with the other reviewers on this one. I used this for a couple of jobs and the metal is FAR too malleable. My punches and the hammer itself have already mushroomed to some degree, thereby changing the sizes of the punches. I give it 2 stars for the variety of sizes for the price, but it's not worth anything if you have to buy new ones this fast.

Had very good use from this puch set. It is not intended for big pins and not for hard use. The brass pins to bend easy but all brass punches bend easy.

Too soft. Not for the serious gunsmith. Bent several and had others mushroom out. There are a lot better punch sets out there for the same money.

I am with Jay on this, the punches in this set are very soft, I have ruined my 5/32, 7/32 and one of the Steel 3/32 punches. The 3/32nd punch actually shattered while driving out a roll pin on my M1A and got stuck, luckily there is a second 3/32 i used to drive out the first one. I would not recommend this to anyone. It is more risk than it is worth.

For the price and what you get these are good punches. Brass is supposed to be malleable, but the steel punches are a step above useless. They nearly immediately needed the mushrooms cut off and resized, and after not much use the TWO PIECE steel punches started to come apart, that is not good. They are handy, I like the kit, but the steel punches are not any good.

Great punch set. It's got a pretty good variety of punches, will fit most needs. The synthetic punches come in REALLY handy for delicate work. I've seen this punch set elsewhere and this price is the best I've seen. On a personal note: I would have liked a dual sided mallet with a rubber end.

Good hammer, nice complete set. Only thing bad about it is that the brass punches are malleable. It's nice that they came with plastic punches, helped prevent any scarring of my pistol sights when I was installing them. The steel punches are durable, used on my AR lower build. Had just the right size for my roll pins.
