The Lee Precision Powder Funnel is made from unbreakable plastic and fits all cases from 22 to 45 caliber. This funnel is the perfect funnel for a reloader that is looking for an economical way to get powder into a cartridge case while minimizing spillage. One of the unique features of the Lee Powder Funnel is that there is a hole in the flange that permits the funnel to be mounted in a Lee Turret Press or screwed down to the edge of a reloading bench or shelf.

This funnel works just fine for most cartridges. When I first got it powder stuck to it quite badly. I wiped it down with a fabric softener sheet, as recommended and that problem was fixed.On large diameter, small neck cases such as the Rem. 7mm Mag it seats on the case shoulder rather than the neck, resulting in spilled powder. For this reason I got the Frankford Arsenal funnel with multiple caliber adaptors. I like the FA unit better.

***The Good:***-- No powder sticking to the sides like I have with every other piece of plastic I have.-- Cheap-- Multi-Caliber use***The Not-So-Good (But I'll live with it for now...)***-- Doesn't seat fully on .40 brass sitting in the Frankford reloading block, which leads to spillage underneath. That being said, I'm reloading on the cheap, using a Lee Hand Press without charging during the expansion stage. I have to take the shell out of the block individually, set it on the table and hold the funnel, shell and dipper all at the same time. It's awkward, but that's what you get for going cheap! The crux of the problem is the amount of space between the end of the funnel and the bottom of the tube, which I will fix *on the cheap again* by filing some of the tube off the bottom so it sits on the block, thus freeing up 2 of the items I must hold.) Long-winded, but if you're looking to do it cheaply, this is a viable option if you're willing to modify to make it work perfectly until you piece together a grander reloading operation.

Does not do at all well for .22. Not recommended for 22 which is all I reload at this point. It should be just a tiny bit smaller and then I'd hive it high marks for being cheap and "fits the task". Lil'gun powder sticks a bit but I'll try dryer towels as suggested. Now shopping for something better, brainless and slippery.

I have heard of people having problems charging pistol cases with these type funnels using universal shell holders. This funnel is so cheap, buy two and cut one down so it will fit all the way down onto the pistol shell. No more problem! A lit match rounds off the ragged cut end so there won't be any plastic falling into the shell end. I have done this for years and works fine.

Good enough for most of my reloading: 6mm-250, 257 AI, 6.5-284, 7x57, 30-06, & 338-06 but when I got to a magnum... 257 Weatherby... its bottom sat on the shoulder rather than the top resting at the neck and I had spillage.

How can it say it works ...

How can it say it works with 22 caliber when it won't consistently work for 223 rem. without leaking. That is what everyone assumes when it says 22 cal. Looking down into the funnel, you can see the entire top of the cartridge neck. Since it won't sit straight without support, it then leaks if you aren't careful. I consider spilling powder dangerous and wasteful. However, it does really work great on unsoldered 380, 9mm, 45 colt, 45ACP, 460 Rowland and brass 3 in. 410ga(custom made). Amend the description to say "except 223 Rem" or "for unshouldered cases" and it would be 5 stars.

I love it. I haven't had trouble with static and it is clear so I can see the powder go in. It fits a .22 cal very well and everything else I've tried. It balances well on the case mouth. I haven't touched my RCBS funnel since I got this one.
