Well made product

I was completing a build on three barrels and bought three front sights from different companies to evaluate them. This sight was head and shoulders above the rest in fit and finish. No need to remove internal and external burrs, and no need to polish or shim the internals to insure proper fit on the barrel. No need to polish the front sight spring detent hole so the spring detent would fit without sticking. A quality product.

My first disappointment ...

My first disappointment with DPMS. The hole for the barrel is drilled askew so far it would be impossible to sight in if installed. This one is going back for something different. I'm usually very pleased with DPMS products, but not this one. I'm chalking this up to a fluke in quality control.

The product is sturdy and dependable; however it would benefit your customers to know that the taper pin holes in the site base have to be drilled out by a gunsmith with the proper tools for it to fit properly.

Great part. Well made and fit like a charm. As previous review states, this part needs gunsmith attention as it has to be drilled and matched up to the barrel.
