Designed for use with the 17 caliber magnum rifle, the Hot Magnum scopes feature Barska's Bullet Drop Technology. This technology allows for precise calculations on the elevation knob. Adjusting this knob compensates for the elliptical drop of a 17 grain bullet. Additional features include multi-coated lens adjustable objective and high density glass. So far I really like this scope. Everything is 5 star so far except 1 thing. The windage knob that has 3 set screws to reset the turret to ZERO seems loose. I have tried to adjust it but it seems apparent that one of the screw holes was drilled off angle. So its a tad wiggly. All in all this is a nice scope for the money. It is clear, bore sited easy and was almost dead on at 50yds. A few tweaks and it was dead on at 100yds. It includes 3 other BDC style turrets for 22LR which is a plus if you want this scope on your non .17 rim fire. Side note: if you are woods hunting with this scope starting off with a 6x may be a bit much I suggest the 3-12x40. This is mounted on a Savage 93R17 BTV.UPDATE: so far this scope holds zero well. I had it to the range this week and re-adjusted it. It didn't lose zero but I had forgot where I left it adjusted. I had left it 2 inches high at 100yds and slightly left. Now I have it center and an inch high @ 100yd. The clarity of this scope is awesome. When set at 8x I can tell that the bird I am seeing 300yd away is a robin and it is just as clear as 50yds. I was looking at 3 different brands of varmint scopes the other day. 2 of the brands are more popular and 2 were more expensive than the Barska. The Barska hands down is much more clear. The one scope was almost 2x the price of the Barska.

What an awesome scope!!! I have it on a Savage Model 93 with a heavy barrel and thumbhole stock. After a break-in of the barrel, I was getting 3 shot groupings of 1/2 inch at 100 yds. The scope is very easy to adjust and holds zero with shot after shot. I would recommend this scope to anyone shooting a .17 HMR.

Awesome scope. Mounted on my new .17 HMR Marlin 917VSF. Dead on accuracy. Settings allow close and long range shooting. Very high quality product for the money!! Buy this if you have a .17HMR rifle. Better than the Sweet 17 scopes. You pay for what you get.

Excellent scope for the money. I have it on a CZ 452 in 17M2 and it works wonderfully. Elevation knob is set for 17HMR, so for me, at 100 yards, my elevation setting is about 175. I am shooting consistant sub MOA groups and I'd honestly rate myself as only an average shooter. This would be a good scope for any rimfire rifle.

This scope has proven an exceptional value. I have it mounted on an Anschutz. With it I consistently have shot VERY small groups at 100 yards and I consider myself just an average marksman. It maintains zero and has exceptional clarity, rivaling my Leupolds.
