Good secure product for ...

Good secure product for an 870. But since it's mounted to the extended mag I have to take it off to get the mag extention off to get the barrel off to clean. Kind of a pain. But if you never take your gun appart it would work awesome. I went with the other Streamlight mount that goes in between where the mag extention screws on. Like it muuuuch better.

Excellent product. Installed on to the mag tube of my FN TPS in minutes. Glad they included short and long screws to attach the mount. The short ones are perfect for my shotgun. Using the mount to attach a Streamlight TLR-1, but will fit the TLR-1s, 2, 2s, & 3. Sure beats the other options out there for a light mount. Love it!

Apparently Streamlight ...

Apparently Streamlight reads customer reviews. Some early commenters said the screws were too long. The one I received had two sets of screws with longer and shorter sizes. The shorter sized ones fit perfectly. Overall I really like this setup.

I bought this for my ...

I bought this for my Winchester Defender. It works perfectly. I did shorten the screws a bit to keep them from hitting the barrel when I tightened them. It is a tight fit, but if you twist a screwdriver blade in the gap to spread it a bit when you slide it on the mag tube, it goes on with no problem.

I ordered this to have an ...

I ordered this to have an extra Weaver mount on my Mossberg 590. It's made of a polymer and not metal so they warn against any use of anaerobic thread lock because it would destroy it. If you'll notice the odd looking end piece with screws in it, that part is removable. I presume it's for bracing the mount against the accessory lug and helping to keep anything mounted from falling off the back if it gets loose. I took the screws out because I didn't want it scratching up the Parkerizing on my accessory lug. The overall length is right at 2-3/4 inches with screws still attached. It seems to be a standard Weaver-style mount though I am not any kind of expert on that. Installation is interesting in that I had to oil up the threads on the end of my magazine tube, then slide one ring of the barrel on and gently tap the streamlight mount on with a hammer while sliding the second ring onto the tube as well as the back end of the barrel into the receiver. Once on a little oil allows it to rotate around with little effort and no apparent scratching. My problem however is that once I had it braced back up against the accessory lug, the screw holes are in a diagonal position instead of directly on the side making it impossible for me to tighten the screws without driving them directly into the barrel. The instruction sheet says to be careful about the distance but for me it was simply not possible without rotating the mount. Reversing the screws is also not an option because the barrel would block any tool use unless you again, rotated the whole mount. So I am left with an off center mount which still has screws precariously close to my barrel. I gave it three stars because it seems to work well despite this one large flaw and because I have no gunsmith training and could be using it improperly. I'll post more when I have more experience with it and have subjected it to lots of recoil.

I got this for a ...

I got this for a Remington 870 with a 6rnd extended mag tube. It works great, the polymer is lightweight, strong and snag free. I use it with a CAA light mount and a Surefire G2. The only issue I've had is after a long session of heavy ammo use sometimes if the mag tube hasn't been secured tight enough the light mount will rotate some with the tube.

This mount works ...

This mount works perfectly on my new Maverick 88. Mounted on the mag tube, there is clearance fore and aft. I have a simple Scorpion light on mine. I plan on buying a few more soon.
