Hammer forged over a precision mandrel within .0001" and bore tolerances held within .0002", this barrel is a surefire way to upgrade or replace your old or worn out barrel. This barrel is manufactured from 4140 steel, heat treated to 44Rc and features a bore with a surface finish of 16 micro or better. This barrel also features a National Match ramp. This is a drop-in barrel however due to the diverse selection and variations in slides and frames, minor fitting may be required. Outside diameter measures .579" with a tolerance held at .001".

Its not the prettiest but it works

I have this barrel in my kimber that's my EDC. It works with all 45acp rounds reliably, except for 230Grn hp's from Agula,the rounds would become stuck in the chamber and would have to be pried out. The finish isn't the greatest but it works. I didn't notice any loss in accuracy from my stock barrel. I have shot about 500 rnds through this barrel w/ and w/o my can. I have had this barrel for about 5 months. The barrel link and barrel link pin were way to easy install, for a little work you can have a threaded 1911 for less than $65.00.

This barrel looks pretty rough, the finish on it looks like it was put on with a magic marker or something. On the other hand it shoots pretty well, I did have to do some extra work to get it to function properly but overall for the price the extra work on my part was well worth it. I installed this barrel in a Colt Series 70, installation of link and pin were straight forward and barrel dropped right into gun with no problem. BUT... When I took it to the range the first time is where the problems started, in the end I had to cut and polish a feed ramp into the barrel, the chamber is cut flat and square with no hint of a feed ramp of any kind. As it arrived it would feed ball ammo about half the time from several Colt magazines, Not reliable at all. After taking it back out, cutting and polishing a feed ramp into it and putting it back in it now feeds any ammo I shove at it perfectly and reliably, including my Nosler 185gr HP hand loads I normally shoot in all my .45acp's. Overall this barrel is a really good buy for the price, once everything was done and installed with a new match grade bushing it shoots 1/2" groups at 25 yards consistently. Equally as importantly with a bit of extra work it feeds perfectly and can be counted on not to jam when you need it most. Only other thing to mention is that it does not come with a thread protector. I bought mine for use with a Gentech Suppressor and it works fine for that but when I take my suppressor off I had to be careful of my threads till I bought a thread protector for it. Its not a Jarvis barrel but then its not $240.00 either! For the price I'm quite happy with mine.

The quality and finish of this barrel was beyond expectations. The barrel was an exact drop-in to my stainless steel series 80 Colt .45 ACP. A Colt link and pin installed easily. The original barrel bushing was replaced with the Swenson barrel bushing. After doing a laser bore sight to laser grips alignment the gun was tested with hardball at 25ft. The gun performed flawlessly producing one ragged hole. This is much better grouping than the original barrel. You can pay more for a barrel, but the Swenson barrel works much better than expected.Note that you will be hard pressed to find a comp with the 37/64-28 threads used for suppressors and may need to make your own comp.
