I have been using TetraGun for years now and like it for cleaning up stainless, blued and parkerized firearms. I think what makes TetraGun so great is the protective film that it leaves on your weapon. TetraGun penetrates into a parkerized finish very well. I have noticed park'd guns pick up scuffs easy, not with TetraGun. Overall TetraGun works better for me than Safariland CLP or a kerosene cleaner with an oil lube. That being said I have Breakfree and Hoppe's in the cabinet also.

Superior gun oil with a wide temperature range of -100F to 750F that is easy to apply and best used on all metal to metal contact surfaces; the results are a great reduction of wear. This product is a great bore conditioner that can increase velocity, accuracy and reduce wear. I have used this product for 14 years with fantastic results. This oil has an unpleasant odor but the product benefits outweigh the smell. You can't go wrong with this gun oil. I recommend the oil bottle be placed in a sealed container or bag during storage.

This is not a CLP. It's ...

This is not a CLP. It's not a cleaner. It's oil. And one fine oil too. Being a mignt thicker, it goes on easy and will stay where you put it and not trickle off if you get a little too much in one spot. Nice touch. As others stated, it makes thing slide easier. Case in point, my distance boltgun in not hard extracting or anything like that, but I can lift the bolt and tilt the weapon up a little and the bolt will slide back on it's own (with a spent round in the extractor) and the spent round will eject almost on it's own....Neat trick, but it shows that things just move easier and better with this oil in place. Tetra Oil allows for an easier clean up due to it's resistance to carbon and other crud that is on the weapon after shooting. It keeps this mess at bay with it's being there. Speaking about clean up, as I was wiping down my '06 recently for the first time with Tetra oil, and I noticed that the small patch with the Tetra Oil on it removed rust from the barrel and receiver. This weapon has always been coated with Rig Universal grease and kept in an ultra clean location. I've never seen an oil do this. There were no signs of rust on this piece and it was new when I got it and never allowed to be exposed to any weather unless well coated with Rig. And I still trust Rig, but never seen it pull rust from metal like the Tetra Oil. Amazing...As a bore conditioner, Tetra Oil is pertty good. A wet patch of it run through the bore. A dry patch to follow and you've got the start of a seasoned bore. I don't know all the chemicals used here, but they got it right. And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg either...The bottle of M Pro 7 LPX is gathering dust in my shop as the Tetra Oil is my "go to" oil period...I'm still amazed as how it managed to pull rust from a very well cared for and pampered weapon that never has been without a coating of Rig on the metal from day one. Amazing is all I can say and it's an OIL, not a cleaner!

I first tried Tetra gun oil a couple years ago after a recommendation from Nighthawk (yes, that Nighthawk). I've found it to be nearly perfect oil for semi-auto handguns, especially 1911s. As some others have stated, it is thicker oil than something like Breakfree CLP. That makes it especially suitable for semi-auto slides and frame rails, as well as other parts. Compared to most other oils, lubricating a semi-auto pistol with Tetra actually produces a noticeably smoother feel to the slide/barrel/frame movement. I do still use Breakfree CLP for certain things, most notably lubrication of small parts or parts which the operation of could be slowed by a heavier oil. About the only fault I can give Tetra is in the odor department. It says "low odor." Yeah right, you can smell this stuff all over the house when you get done lubing your pistol. However, the odor does subside after it has been on the pistol a day or so. And since it actually works well, I won't fault it for the smell, though people with sensitive sniffers might.

Good stuff. As has been said, it stays where you put it and seems to really slick up the action on my ARs. Also helps in cleaning as it doesn't evaporate like the CLP. My bolt wipes clean after shooting. Pretty cool.

Great lube for AR-15 break-in and after, thick enough to stay where you want it, yet will penetrate given time. Seems to be good bore treatment (seasoning). I will continue to purchase this product and recommend it highly.

This is about the best gun oil you're going to find. For years I have also used it in the barrel of my rifles as a bore conditioner. As a last step in my cleaning process, I run a patch with Tetra gun oil on it down the barrel, and let the oil sit in the barrel for about 10 minutes. Then I run a dry patch down the barrel to finish. By doing this, I have been able to fire hundreds of rounds through the rifles without cleaning before I see any noticeable loss in accuracy.
