This video is pretty much worth the money. The production is a little hokey and some diagrams would have gone a long way in my opinion. That being said there is some real golden advise in the video. Specific examples include tips on how to reduce runout using standard bullet seating dies, how to throw consistent powder charges, and what degree of scrutiny is appropriate to give your ammunition when shooting it at various distances. Having some strong experience with handloading prior to viewing this video is a prerequisite.

This video is how I learned to reload. It is jam packed with useful information. I bought it in the early 90's on 2 VHS tapes. This just doesn't cover basic reloading, it also covers tricks the pro's use to achieve the highest accuracy possible.

Good content, but getting ...

Good content, but getting dated, and poor production quality. While this was produced 18 years ago, Tubb knows his stuff, and it shows. Much of the content is "evergreen" in that reloading does not fundamentally change very often, so it is still applicable. As others have mentioned, the production quality is amateurish, but I bought it to hear what Tubb had to say. Someone off-camera asks Tubb questions -- sparingly at first, but then so often that Tubb barely got to narrate at all. Becomes very annoying. Since there are no chapters, when you watch you may want to have a notepad handy to write down the time position of the DVD when Tubb is describing the subject of interest to you.If it were 1992 when this were produced, I'd give it a 5 for content, and a 3 for production, but both are going down as this production ages.I'd buy it again for the content Tubb provided, but only because all the other reloading DVDs have even less value for me -- it's the "least worst." Sierra needs to create a version 2 with Tubb with up-to-date content, tools and production techniques.

I was interested in the video based on the experience and accomplishments of G. David Tubb. It provided very useful information on various reloading techniques. However, the quality of the production was lacking. For the price, I expect better direction / production. Apparently there was no or little editing. There must of been at least two cameras filming, because one camera showed the second camera in a scene. The off camera questions were annoying. For the price I expect professional quality production. The video would have been fairly priced at $8.99, not because of G. David Tubb, rather the poor production.

This video is first rate. David Tubb is an excellent instructor. I think that this video is primarily for the competition shooter, rather than the beginning reloader. It can confuse if you're completely new to reloading. I advise that it be one of several videos from which to learn reloading. As you progress with your technical expertise, you'll find this video an excellent resource for knowledge.

This DVD is informative but it's recorded in two very long segments. There isn't a chapter to go to if you need help with any particular subject. I fell asleep three times and had to start from the beginning and fast forward to the place I last remembered. The information is fantastic, however, I expected much better and easy to use media for the higher cost of the DVD.

The video is sometimes interesting, but for the price, I expected the production quality to be better. It is obvious that there was little to no editing, rehersal, or script. Just Mr. Tubb talking about reloading. I wouldn't have had a problem if the price had been $10.
