Product Information

The Tipped TSX features a 100-percent copper body with rings cut into the shank. A polymer tip boosts the ballistic coefficient, improves long-range ballistics and provides fast expansion. The four razor sharp cutting petals double the bullet diameter making delivering "dead right there" performance.

These revolutionary bullets from Barnes are made of 100% copper and contain no lead. Barnes recommends initially seating bullets 0.050" off the lands. Best accuracy will be found from 0.030" to 0.070" depending on the rifle. This is not loaded ammunition.

Absolutely my favorite bullet in my Rem 700 25-06...1/4" 100yd groups all day long....they kill all out of proportion to their small size....large hogs (250lbs) dead right there....coyotes fall over like someone "unplugged" them....antelope just collapse.....I haven't been milk jug hunting, but I'm sure they will fall over too....don't dismiss this bullet until you have actually tried on game, you will not be disappointed

I bought these bullets based on the performance that I've gotten from their 30 and 33 caliber products. I then used load data off of their website for the hybrid 100v, accuracy was average however I shot into a string of milk jugs to recover a bullet and to test penetration compared to my other 25-06 loads the bullet completely fell apart before leaving the second jug leaving five separate pieces of bullet not quite the 100 percent weight retention that they claim. These bullets will not hold up to around 3800 f.p.s.

My father is a Weatherby man. He has always been a huge advocate of the term "Speed Kills"! I quickly became a believer and this Barnes Bullet coming out of a .257 Weatherby is no exception. I chronographed this bullet loaded in Weatherby factory ammunition at a 4 shot average of 3915 FPS!!!! Yes, you read that right! Last deer season I shot 2 whitetails next to each other at 85 yards. One bullet a piece, both at a slight downward angle, 4 inches behind the front leg, bottom third of the body. Impact velocity should have been over 3600fps. I've never seen anything like it! These deer dropped like they were struck by lightning! Now, would any other bullet do the same thing at that velocity? Probably.... But these deer both had 4" entrance holes, 2" exit holes and not one organ in-tact. Few bullets will hold up to that kind of speed and abuse. Barnes makes the best bullets money can buy. PERIOD! The only negative thing I can say is I wish their Ballistic coefficients were higher for all their bullets. They don't hold their speed like many of their competitors. Buy these and drop something in its tracks. I hate tracking.....don't you?

California passed its lead free ban in the area I hunt in while my .257 Roberts Ackley Improved was being built. When this bullet was introduced I picked up four boxes to try on ground squirrels. The TTSX bullet over H-380 seated to .050" off the lands produced 3/8" 10 shot groups at 100 yards and 3,585 fps. Results on squirrels are amazing considering this isn't a varmint bullet. Performance rivaled the Barnes .224 50 grain Varmint Grenade! Shot at ranges from 35 to 200 yards, squirrels were decimated. These 80 grain TTSX's will do until somebody introduces a true lead free varmint bullet.

I used this bullet in a .25-06' Ruger 1B. an excellent bullet with great accuracy. used Load data for Nosler 85 BT with no problem RX 19 and IMR 4831 both sub MOA with the 19 being 1/2" CTC for 5 shots. Gave five stars on accuracy will be back with another review on terminal performance after late doe season.

Very good accuracy from my .257 Kimber. I use data for Sierra 87 gr. with 4064 and have no trouble. Kills wild hogs, coyotes, and blacktail deer like lightning. Shoots thru most everything except big boars.
