Scorpion muzzleloader bullets have an electroplated copper jacket that will not separate from the lead core when striking the target, while the high pressure sabot ensures a consistent gas seal for reliability and downrange performance. The 3% antimony core adds strength to the bullet, increasing its penetrative power on big game. Available bullet profiles are a deep hollow point for maximum expansion or a polymer tip for better energy retention and ballistic coefficient.

I tried many different powder loads, and bullet combinations with my cva accura until I found what it wanted, and finally with this bullet, and 150 grains of powder it shot 1 1/2" groups at 100 yds. It is a killing machine now.

The Harvestor ribbed sabots work well with Scorpion bullet or work well with Hornady XTP 45 cal. The scorpion 300 grain bullet is a BC of .250 which works well for the long shots.

I tried these this fall for the first time. Man you talk about tight groups. I got just over 1/2" at 100 yds. The bullet seems to hit very hard. I was shooting 1 gal. jugs at 100 yds. I was using blackhorn powder and a federal primer.

I now use these 300 grain bullets with the matching rib crusher sabot. Matched with BH209 I get pin point accuracy. Well, enough of the range report......here's the deer woods report: This bullet destroys whitetails. I shot a nice buck opening day at about 120 yards out and hit him in the spine and he went straight down. The bullet completely blew the spine apart and exited the deer. I shot an antlerless deer about 30 yards away square in right shoulder and the bullet made a clean exit on the left rear quarter. Amazingly the deer ran a little ways over the hill, but the blood trail in the snow was easy to follow: In fact, there was blood spray on trees as high as my chest. I've never seen a blood trail quite like that. I could tell the entrance and exit wounds were big, but we skinned the deer at camp and they were massive. The raw shoulder entrance hole was about the size of a baseball and the shoulder was crushed, and the exit hole on the opposite rear quarter was about the size of a golf ball. I know it's odd to have a smaller exit wound but thats the way it happened. Bottom line: if you want bone crushing power and a bullet that will without a doubt exit and animal every time look no further. In fact, I would not hesitate to take any North American big game with this bullet. It's the real deal. I love shooting different muzzleloaders, but when deer season rolls around and I want to shoot my .50 this is what will be down the barrel. This bullet is all business and is 300 grains of hate and discontent. Period.
