These radios have a range up to 10 miles under optimal conditions. They feature a scan mode, 38 CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System) codes per channel, silent vibrating alert, auto squelch, auto battery save, paging/call with three call tones, microphone/headset input, speakerphone/VOX with three levels, keypad lock and backlit display. Operates on 4 AA batteries (not included). Covered by a 3 year warranty. FCC license is required.

    The radios worked well on my hunting trip in the high Sierras. They were easy to use and clarity was excellent. No problems at all.
