I think the CED timer is great, much better than my other timer, which I won't mention the product name, but I had to put a target paster over the microphone to get it to record properly indoor and them remove the tape to use it outdoors. With the CED, I don't have to do that, it works great both indoors and outdoors. I would recommend this timer to anyone trying to improve their IPSC skills.

It is every thing it claims to be,easy to use and compact enough for use in personal training. I am the head firearms instructor with large police agency and I use it for both my own personal speed training and for training Law Enforcement personnel. Great unit!

When I entered the market for a shot timer, I was really only looking for two features: a random start and the ability to set a par time. This unit has those, and a whole lot more than I'll ever use. Par time is easy to set/use, and I like the large display numbers on the unit... although I have to admit that it would be nice if the par time were displayed permanently on the screen after it was set. The buzzer is loud enough to be heard, but not intrusive. An adjustable volume might be nice. Another thing that might be nice is an "off" button (the unit shuts down after 10 minutes of non-use)! The clip is great, and allows the unit to be attached to your belt during practice... and the random start feature ensures that you have time to get your hand back into position once you press the "start" button. Like I said, this timer has more features than I'll probably ever use, but what I do use I like a lot. You can certainly spend more on units with more bells & whistles; but for most folks, this unit will serve all their needs.

This timer is a very good value for the money. I really like the new blue case they are using on it now. It is very sensative and works good for light Cowboy loads out of rifles.

Have had no problems with the timer. The buzzer is loud,and it is easy to use. I clip it on my front pocket, and it still picks up every shot. I just wish that it came with a case.

I specifically wanted this timer for personal practice use.The small size and strong belt clip make it easy to wear while moving through practical shooting practice stages and drills. Functions can easily be changed and it does very well at hearing all the shots. I consider this timer slightly more delicate than some of the others but favor it as a wearable timer. It has worked every time.

I am very happy with the Pocket Pro Timer. I use it for timing myself when shooting steel plates at an indoor shooting range. For this it works quite well. I find it amazing that it can accurately time my shots while not registering other shooter near by. I did not give it a full 5 stars for the following reasons: mine did not come with instructions (although it was pretty easy to figure out). It also does not have a mic sensitivity control (although the level at which it is set is very good for most circumstances). The unit is also a bit pricy but no more so than competing products. All in all, I would recommend it!

I would give this product 3 1/2 stars. The outer case seems durable, and very protective of vital components. It does seem a little small, and some controls a little close together, but some would just say it was a handy size. And, the Pocket Pro funtions as per the instructions. I have only used mine as an individual timer, and not in competition, but it funtioned perfectly. My biggest complaint is the small size of the Rand/Inst switch on the side of the unit. I cannot even move it with my thumbnail as it is recessed into the case too far. I have to get out a pointed object (pen, knife point, etc.) to move it. Correcting this flaw would change my rating of this instrument from a 3 1/2 to 4 or 5 stars.
