Lyman bullet lubes eliminate leading and improve the accuracy of cast bullets. Ideal Lube is a non-Alox formula that is recommended for use at indoor or outdoor ranges. The 1-1/4 ounce, 1" x 4" hollow Lube will fit the Lyman #450 Bullet sizer and lubricator, as well as, the RCBS Lube-A-Matic 2. It is recommended to use a lube heater as this lube has a melting point of 141 degrees. The color is brown and may vary from lot to lot.

I found this lube to be less smoky, less sticky and easier to apply to case bullets than others.

Recently had to go back to sizing my own bullets and was looking for the softest lube that I could use without using the heater on the sizer. Couldn't remember what I used in the past as it was many years ago. Thought that I would order in a few different brands to compare. Ordered in the Ideal (341106), the RCBS (670747) & Thompson's (352552). Found the Lyman to be the softest and easier to use than the others in my Lyman 450 sizer. If you're looking for the softer of the bunch and want to size without plugging in the heater, the Lyman is the best. Believe that all the others that I looked at in the catalog were even harder than the three that I ordered in.

Came with my Lyman lubrisizer, gas checked bullets in 45-70 work well with good groups and a surprising lack of leading. I did not rate it the highest for lack of comparison, except that it is much better than the hard lubed bullets I buy commercially as those lead foul terribly.
