Shot a 1/4 group @ 100 yards with my HS HTR. Best accuracy you can get out of production ammo. Use the 175gr if shooting past 300-400 yards.

I conducted an ammo test consisting of 3-shot groups fired at 100 yards on a bench rest. The rifle used was a CZ 550 Varmint Kevlar .308 with a 26” blued chrome-moly barrel with a 1:12 twist. The ammo was tested over two different days with varying wind conditions and was shot in a random order. A dry patch was run after every 3-shot group. The results are as follows with the average, best and worst groups listed, measured center to center. 1. Winchester Supreme Match 168 gr. HPBT avg. 1.328”, best 1.070”, worst 1.634” 2. Black Hills Match 175 gr. HPBT avg. 1.742”, best 1.107”, worst 2.320” 3. Federal GMM 168 gr. HPBT avg. 1.147”, best 0.757”, worst 1.416” 4. Federal GMM 175 gr. HPBT avg. 0.873”, best 0.641”, worst 1.183” 5. Hornady TAP 168 gr. Ballistic Tip avg. 0.970”, best 0.601”, worst 1.313” As you can see my results surprisingly show the FGMM 175 gr. performed the best all around followed closely by the Hornady TAP. I was surprised that a Ballistic Tip could keep up with HPBT match ammo. Although the TAP resulted in the smallest group, the Winchester yielded the only same hole group. I still think the 168 gr. FGMM is top notch ammo I just split a case of 500 with a buddy.

My lot number of this product has been in continuous use since 1992 with no change in performance. I'm a very proficient handloader and it took years to MATCH this stuff...after I sorted it by bullet runout the group size shrank to where I don't even bother to try to match it with handloads. At present I use a Bersin tool to reduce runout to the minimum possible and a Tubb meplat uniformer to uniform bullet tips and can expect 1/2 MOA 5-10 shot groups up to 200 yards consistency from a 700PSS. If you're not a handloader, this is your target round...if you are, you can take the day off, safe in the hands of Federal ATK. Great product, great company.

The first time out (after sighting in) I shot a .342 inch group (3 shots) out of an F.N. SPR with a Leupold M-1 scope at 110 yards. I did have a VERY solid rest but the ammunition certainly did its part. I have not had a chance to shoot at a longer range as of yet) I do not reload so this consistancy is a great value to me. I also purchased some competing match ammo locally to compare, even though I ordered only 3 boxes from Midway the lot numbers were the same, the local retailers supply was not. I would recommend a case purchase if able to do so simply for consistancys sake.

Sniper training in Ohio I shot roughly 500 rounds. It consistently shot dime size groups at 100 yds with three shot groups. (Remington 700 lt 20" fluted ) in addition it shot 2" groups at 300 yds. Great stuff!!!!!!!

Fantastic product. I used these with my Ruger 77 VT, 26 inch heavy barrel. All of my 3 shot groups at 100 yards were either touching or looking like 2 shot groups. This load set a standard that I hope all my handloads measure up to. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I normally shoot my own handloads through my 308 tactical rifle but this stuff is amazing. I bought a case of this stuff and after shooting it I also reload the brass. This is the best for the 308 period!

Shot this ammo for the first time out of my H-S Precision HTR. It gave the best group I had ever fired at 100 yds. measuring .396 for 3 shots

I used this Ammo in my USMC M40A3, 1:12 twist with a 24" Schneider barrel in .308, and it is absolutely the best factory match ammo I have ever shot. After sighting in which only took 3 shoots with this ammo, I shot 3 groups with my worst being .45" and my best being .23". Group average was .34". Bottom line this is the best factory ammo out there. For going past 300 yards, the 175gr. steadily outpaces it...

The best ammo I have shot, 1000 yards all day, with a spotter. Anything in between is child’s play. Worth every penny and Midway makes it possible with good pricing.

Quite simply the best production ammunition I have ever used. Inspection out of the box reveals a very nice finish and quality assembly. Performance at the range is outstanding; 5 shot groups out of my Savage 10FCP-LE HS are very literally one ragged hole.

This is the best factory .308 ammo around. Period. Shoots unbelievably well out of a variety of rifle platforms. My DSA SA58 FAL loves it, as does my PTR 91. And for good measure, it goes sub-MOA at 100 yds. out of my Kimber Longmaster. Just a totally consistent, extremely accurate load.

This ammo produces the most consistent, tighest groups out of my Savage .308 with a 24" Hart match barrel/chamber. 3- shot groups average .5 moa at 100, 200 and 300 yards. It is capable of better with a better shooter behind the trigger. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

This is THE best .308 ammo for long range shooting out there. I've tried several different brands and I always come back to the Federal. At 600 yards, I get between 3 and 7" groups. I'm sure a better shooter would improve on that. With outer ammo, the groups opened up to twice the size. I use a 26" barrel Ruger K77VT. If you don't reload, this is your target round. Any round can shoot at 100 yards. But this one performs for me at 6 times that range. At 200 yards, I can have the bullet holes touching.

Wow! This is some kind of great ammo. If you're looking for super accurate .308 ammo and aren't inclined to load your own, this is it. Very consistent and accurate.

I purchased the 168gr FGMM for a class I had in August. In my Remington 700P, they performed very well (sub MOA) out to 500 yds. At 1000 I was hitting 12" x 12" steel gongs, but not consistently enough for my satisfaction. I like and continue to buy the 168gr FGMM for shorter range shooting.

Used with: Savage 308 Heavy Barrel. Results - 1st shot: Bullseye 100yd. 10th shot - a little lower. It appeared that round started dropping due to a very hot barrel. I admit, I shot 80 rounds and didn't clean it till I got home. I also didn't use a lead sled. Still, by far the best ammo, I've tried other Remmy and Federal ammo and grain counts but never had such a great a target when I was done. I plan to use this on the range and out hunting.
