This unique product cleans a bore in less than 10 seconds. With a single pull, you'll have a barrel that is shiny and clean. Its integrated bronze brush effectively loosens hard fouling and lead, then the woven cotton floss that follows picks it all up. Completely washable so you can reuse it over and over. It has 160 times more cleaning area than a standard patch, which makes for a cleaner bore in less time. A great product to use at home, at the range or in hunting camp. Technical Information:

  • Integral bore brush helps remove hard fouling and lead deposits
  • Long section after bore brush works like multiple patches
  • End has brass weight to drop through bore
  • The world's quickest, three-step boreshine
  • Brass weight is stamped with the size.

    Notes:
  • Bore cleaner may be tight fitting when new. If difficult to pull through bore, it may be easier to step on the exposed end of the bore cleaner and hold it while pulling the firearm. Ensure that you are using the correct Boresnake for the caliber firearm before using this method.
  • Bore cleaner can be washed

  • Overall Rating:

Cleans faster, better and with less effort than jamming a rod and brush or pads through the barrel. Easier to travel with or to take to the field, than is a rod kit.

I love this product. I ordered it to use on my Marlin lever gun. Two passes through the barrel and it shines. It is so much easier to use than the rod type cleaning.

This product is fantastic. A great product to carry in your pocket at a gun show - you can quickly clean out a dirty bore to see if there are any major defects before you buy a gun. I also use them on my shotguns - clean your barrel every day after a dove hunt. Pull a BoreSnake through your barrel and wipe down the outside, and you’re ready to hunt again the next day. You don’t even have to take your shotgun apart to use it!

This is a savior of time. It works as it's supposed to and cleans up easily. It feels so satisfying to see that puff of residue come out of the business end when I run it through the first time. This is a must buy along with some spray solvent.

This bore snake was extremely valuable while I was deployed to Iraq. Whereas other soldiers would be cleaning their M240 machine gun barrels for close to an hour with rods and patches, I would make a quick pass with the bore snake, and be done in under a minute. Wash and reuse is so very true as well. After coming out black after an engagement, all I had to do was put it in the sink, run some soap and water over it, wring it out, and it was good as new again. It definitely made my job over there a LOT easier!!

I have bore snakes for every caliber and gage of weapon I own, and they are GREAT for a quick cleaning. I'm pretty picky though, and they don't get them as thoroughly clean as I would like my weapons to be before storing them for longer than over night periods. I get the heavy fouling out with a patch and Hoppes' #9, then I use the bore snake. After that, I go back to a standard bronze brush on a Tipton carbon fiber rod and use wool mops and patches to get my weapons thoroughly clean. All that said, these are the perfect product to take when traveling or for a quick clean between hunting days. They SHOULD NOT BE USED in a Sauer Model 90 bolt action rifles, as the loaded chamber indicator will snag the cord and get jammed in the bore. Be careful that you have no such protrusions in your chamber that may snag the bore snake prior to use.
