A good product and to me this is a MUST HAVE item for safe reloading. Easy to read, easy to use. Precise and accurate to .001 inch. I see no reason to buy a more expensive caliper.

This is an excellent caliper. It is easy to zero. Using the caliper is a breeze. Reading the guage is very simple and is very accurate. It is well made with excellent fit and finish. The price was also very agreeable. There seems to be no need for digital calipers. Great buy!

Very impressed with this dial caliper. Yeah it's made in China, but seems to be a very precisely made unit, feels just like the more expensive Starrett's and such. Measures a piece of typing paper correctly, .004". I'd recommend this caliper to anyone starting out in reloading or if someone needs a replacement dial caliper. And it comes in a very nice carrying case. BUY IT!

An exceptional value- these have reliable, repeatable accuracy to .001". I've used these in my job as a production machinist for a year, they're as accurate as an expensive digital unit, and at this price they are expendable- I save my digital unit for the bench measuring jobs.

This is an excellent tool, and is accurate and easy to use. It is VERY durable and dependable and belongs on every reloader's bench. I used mine extensively for 6 yrs, loading thousands of rounds of various calibers, before I dropped in on concrete and ruined it. Now I'm purchasing a replacement.

I use this product often and to me its the best on the market for the price. Sure you can spend more for a digital readout or higher quality, but who wants to spend over $100 if you can get the same results for much less.

Have used a pair for the past 5 years, only problem is that they were borrowed and not returned. For the money, this is a product that is hard to beat for the casual user (like me), I am sure a Brown and Sharpe would be more robust, but these are just what I needed and were used on a daily basis

I recently purchased this product and have been very pleased with it. My friend owns an expensive shop set and had me put my Midway set to the ultimate test. We took out a couple of sets of feeler guages and proceeded to verify all of the measurements. Dead-nuts-on across the entire range for BOTH of our dial calipers. Well made and accurate... what's not to like for $24.95?

All I can say is what's not to like about it? When I compared it to a much more expensive dial caliper, the Midway one was dead on the money. I believe that the only way the more expensive ones get sold is that the customers that purchase the more expensive calipers just don't know about the Midway product.I AM AN EXTREMELY SATISFIED MIDWAY CUSTOMER.

In the last two years I have owned two different battery-powered calipers. After a short period of use, they would start giving false readings. Hence the choice of a "DIAL" caliper. This one seems stout and sturdy. Very accurate too the .001s which is what I need to get my proper OAL. My Stoney Point comparator Fit's on them no problem. Just makes sense to do some things the old fashion way. Buy them and have trouble free readings.

I bought mine about 8 years ago while I was still in college and very broke. I wanted to buy an expensive guage but this was what I could afford and I've never regretted it. It gives the same readings as My mitutoyo micrometer and it's a lot faster to use. The only draw back is the depth guage part is warped and pretty much useless but I don't use that part anyway. I was working in the AV repair shop at the university and they needed a dial caliper so I loaned them mine. The head of the department liked it so much, he bought 2 of them for Portland State University.

It's a great Caliper, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 was the gauge moved on me, I was able to zero it out but it's cocked now. Still just as accurate as before, just canted. I do not regret it and will continue to use it as long as it stays accurate.

Decent pair of calipers. Got three years of light use out of it until the dial needle broke. Worked fine for light reloading uses, though if you want the best accuracy then get a better caliper. Overall decent quality for the price, but there are better calipers out there for slightly more money.

For light reloading use this caliper works great ... for a while. You get what you pay for, and about three years of service was all I got before the dial mechanism became rough and the caliper required frequent re-zeroing. A higher quality dial caliper like Mitutoyo or Starrett will cost $75 to $100, but it is definitely the way to go if your use will be frequent or demanding. If you are just starting out in metallic reloading and money is a concern, this is a good entry level tool, but plan upon replacing it.

I read all the positive comments but stopped short of the not-so-positive comments towards the bottom and ended up ordering one of these calipers. The one I received was very poorly made. I had to tighten the screw on the adjustment dial as it was falling off. Thereafter, it would not zero and the adjustment dial slid more than gripped when trying to measure anything. I would advise against paying for one of these until improvements are made.

SUMMARY: Poorly made and incorrect calibration. BODY: Recently bought a couple of these from Midway. (They are made in China, and appear functional at first glance.) When I calibrated one using a similar device (Made in Japan for KD-Tools), I discovered a 15thou discrepancy in the Frankford devices. Closer examination showed the problem to be in the etched numbers on the device's metal scale. In comparison to the KD Tools caliper, the metallic parts were of a poorer quality. Shame on Frankford and Midway for carrying such a shoddy product. A 15thou difference in say an OAL, could be serious. (Experienced reloaders please chime in here.) Finally, the case in which the caliper comes is cheap and shoddy too. Both are going back to Midway for a refund.

Bought one of these 10 years ago when it was still branded "Midway". I was happy when I first got it, but I've been waiting all this time to say they are junk. JUNK. When I close mine, the reading isn't always the same. It jumps around by 5 thousandths. The absolute accuracy is terrible. Any ole' Vernier caliper would be a thousand times better. This thing isn't accurate to .001, it's accurate only to about .01. Junk junk junk. Can I say it again? There's a reason it only costs $25. When I bought it a decade ago it cost $15. A good pair of "throw away" dial calipers should cost 4x this much. JUNK!
