A must for anyone who has a Mil-Dot scope. An analog calculator designed similar to a slide rule, performs the following operations: Range to target, bullet drop and wind drift compensation, angle of fire for uphill and downhill shots.

Technical Information: Mildot Master Range and Bullet Drop Calculation Guide

Material: Flexible plastic, comes with instruction manual.

Notes:

  • An analog calculator designed along the principle of a slide rule, utilizing logarithmic and inverse logarithmic scales developed specifically for performing the following operations:

  • Calculation of range to target, based on a measurement of the target with a mildot reticle, by aligning the estimated target size directly opposite the mildot measurement, and then reading the range at an index mark.
  • Calculation of the amount of sight correction necessary to compensate for bullet drop and/or wind drift for a given range, enabling the shooter to determine either the equivalent telescopic sight adjustment (minute-of-angle, or MOA) or the equivalent hold-over (mils), by reading equivalents in both MOA and mils directly opposite the bullet drop/wind drift figure.
  • Angle of fire for uphill or downhill shots can be accurately measured, and the up/down compensation can be closely calculated to reduce the errors such shots can induce.

  • Overall Rating:
    4.9 out of 5

The Mil-Dot Master is by far superior to using a calculator, for speed purposes. I've been long-distance shooting for a few years now with mil-dot scopes and is much more reliable than laser rangefinders, for smaller targets (coyotes, prairie dogs, ect). The Mil-Dot Master is by far the best rangefinder for the money, if your scope has mil-dots.

This is the greatest thing to come along since cold smoked salmon. It works flawlessly. I was sure I needed one. After reading the instructions and practicing with it I realized what most people would do, after chronographing your reloads and finding them 200 FPS slower than the manual, use the SIERRA "INFINITY" ballistics program to print a "cheat sheet" for distances beyond your maximum point blank range, and get a Leica range finder.

The Mildot Master is an indispensible tool for owners of mildot scopes. Range to target is quickly calculated, with the added bonus of holdover (both MOA come ups and mils). No batteries to die, either. The holdover functions in MOA are useful for the owner of any rifle, regardless of optics.

Anyone with a mildot reticle is crazy not to own one of these. It does the job of a calculator, in about 1/10th the time, and doesn't take batteries. Also, the Mildot Master doesn't lie, so this will train you to make better dot readings.

No more clumsy calculators with entry errors. This product along with a few datasheets are all I need to carry to the range now. Once you master how to read the mildot, this device is extremely accurate. I love the ability to adjust for angled shots. Can't say enough about this product.

Great tool to accompany mil-dot scopes. I thought I was pretty good at the math, and was kind of skeptical of this thing. After using it, I realized I wasn't half as good as I thought. The speed and ease of use is amazing. Well worth the price. It doesn't say it in the description, but the card is reversible for you metric shooters.
