Was very impressed with these earmuffs. One would expect to pay this much for non-electronic ear protection. They do exactly as advertised.

For the price, these CANNONT be beat. Very comfortable even on extended range sessions. Amplification works well and allows you to hear even the slightest of sounds. Highly recommended for anyone who hunts and needs to hear things around them.

I was skeptical about getting these because they are so much cheaper than the other brands but I went for it and am glad I did. These muffs adjust well enough to fit my large head comfortably and the ear cushions feel great. When I turn the thing on it amplifies the sound to a level above your normal hearing abilities. Clap your hands and the sound instantly shuts off. You never hear the clap. The quality of the green plastic is quite good, and is see-through so you can look at the circuitry. The directions are very short and easy to understand. Installing the batteries only requires a coin to pry off one foam pad and insert 2 AA's.

These are a great bargain for the money. They fit pretty well, have a greater NRR than another earmuff I tried that cost 2 1/2 times as much, and work fine. Batteries are easy to replace. The only down side is that recovery time is longer than some other electronic muffs, so that if you're trying to talk to somebody and people are shooting nearby, you lose some of their conversation.

I recently renewed my concealed hand gun license, and the instrutor was using this type of ear muff. Wow what a differance it made, I was able to hear the range commands clearly. And you will hear the pop of the weapon but not the hard bang of the weapon. Wish they would have had these when I first learned to shoot. I think these muffs are great for anyone that is either just starting to learn to shoot or the experienced shooter. They really do make the a big difference. Well worth the money. I will be sure to buy more of them soon.

These work exactly as I expected, and are excellent. The only down side is you have to be careful in storing and transporting them as they have a tendency to get turned on accidentally. A great deal for the money.

I have wanted ear protection like this since I first saw one over a year ago. Over the years some one would start firing on the range before I had my ear protection on and my ears would ring. This is the first electronic ear muff I have seen at a reasonable price. I have worn them and they work very well.

They work great. Good hearing protection. I even wear them in the woods, and hear game as they approach and my hearing is protected from the muzzle blast.

Well worth the price. Makes trips to the range very interesting. Where I used to be bothered by other nearby shots now I have trouble not laughing at all the comments I can hear with these things on. "Hmm... you are 4 feet high and 2 feet right" Makes me think I should find cover! Also gets funny when everyone else talks loud and you are talking normal and they cannot hear you. Everyone should get a pair. As I have a muzzlebrake on my rifle I will carry these with me when hunting. I have not used Peltor, but for twice the price I cannot imagine they are twice as good.

I was skeptical about ordering this because of the low price, but was very impressed with quality and how they worked on the range. I fired a 44 mag. and a Glock 357 sig. both times the product worked great. I liked them so much I ordered another pair.

These are excellent ear muffs. I have lost some of my upper range hearing. With these turned up, I can hear things I have not heard in a long time. i.e. dog walking behind me, my footsteps in soft soil. The protection is also excellent. Works better than the plugs I have been using. Love these muffs.

I have had mine for a few months now. I bought a set for my son and son in law. 2 days ago, I was shooting at an indoor range and it appears that I walked of and left them behind. I called and nobody turned them in. I am on line now ordering another pair, maybe two sets and if the misplaced ones turn up,I'll have a spare....

I have now purchased two sets of these. I have been really happy with the product, and the price was an added incentive to purchase the second pair when they went on sale again at a later time. They can easily get accidentally turned on, so I now pull the batteries after each use. If you are in the market for a pair of earmuffs, you really can't go wrong with these.

I PURCHASED TWO OF THESE EARMUFFS WHEN THEY WERE ON SALE. THEY ARE VERY COMFORTABLE AND THEY WORK GREAT. BECAUSE THEY WERE SO INEXPENSIVE I EXPECTED THERE TO BE ALOT OF BACKGROUND NOISE BUT THERE WAS NOT ANY AT ALL. THEY AMPLIFY SOUND VERY WELL AND THEY WORK AS ADVERTISED. I'VE WORN SOME OF THE MORE EXPENSIVE MUFFS BUT THESE PERFORMED JUST AS GOOD AND EVEN BETTER THAN SOME OF THE EXPENSIVE ONES. BUY THESE AND YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Wore mine over a pair of earplugs at an indoor range today (I like double protection, thank you). Worked real well until some jerk in the lane next to me started shooting what I thought was a full bore 12 gauge. It was LOUD! Heard some other guys comment that they were going to get some toilet paper to stuff in their ears under their muffs. When I quit, I asked the rangemaster what that guy was shooting; and he told me it was some kind of short barrel AK-47. OUCH! So, I guess the muffs did pretty well, considering I didn't have to stuff toilet paper in MY ears. :-)

I purchased two pairs of these muffs, one for me one for my son. We were shooting IDPA matches and though the response time to come back is slower than pricier brands these Caldwell muffs are GREAT! When you factor in the price the deal is almost illegal. Thank you Caldwell for bringing a product an average guy can afford.

These work as advertised - and while it's a little disconcerting at first, you get used to the sudden damping with any unexpected clicks. About the only knock I'd give it is that my in-the-ear plugs protrude a little, and don't have enough room inside the muffs. Given the choice, I'd still buy these.

I found this electronic earmuff to do a good job at the range for a fraction of the cost of others electronic models. They amplify surrounding sounds well and instantly block out harmful decibels when they occur. They fit me well and are very compact when folded into a carrying bag. My son tried them out and is now ordering a set for himself.

Great for the price. Not a lot of muffling here but with foam in the canal earplugs, this makes time at the range a lot more tolerable. The amplification helps overcome the effect of in-ear foam.

Excellent value for the money, mono hearing and could use a little more padding but otherwise they work fine. I added some additional padding from another pair of cheap muffs which increased the comfort level during extended use.

Got to try these while at a buddies house. They do pretty well though I suspect the sound quality could have been a bit better. But then again, I've never used electro-muffs before so I have nothing to compare it to. They were a bit tight on my large melon too. Overall from the little I got to play with them I liked them.

Overall a good bargain I think. They aren't as good as some of the higher priced ones I worn but worth the price. There isn't much room in the ear cup and they mash your ears down to your head which gets a little uncomfortable after a long time. I'd wear them at home if Caldwell would tune the cut-off to work when it detected my wife's voice nagging me after a long day at the range!!! ;) kidding!
